During brush electrolysis, as this product is low concentrated and used at ambient temperature during a short time, it does
not seem very useful to perform checks of atmosphere, except in case of large parts or of continuous use. However, it is
recommended to measure it once in the harder conditions of work and periodically after if necessary.
Maintain the premises and the work stations in perfect state of cleanliness.

PERSONAL PROTECTION
Provide a shower, a powerful tap and sink unit and an eye basin in the vicinity of the work place.
- Respiratory protection: during brush plating, provide if possible an inhaling of the sprays / vapours where they are created
and extraction out of the premises. Otherwise or if insufficient, wear in a ventilated room a filtering FFP3 mask according to
EN 149:2001 standard or an A2P3 cartridge according to EN 405:2002 standard.
- Hand protection: wear imperatively gloves (in latex or nitrile for example).
- Eye protection: wear glasses with lateral protections or a facial screen. Do not wear contact lenses.
- Skin protection: wear overalls and safety shoes.

X - STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
STABILITY
Good at normal temperature with water evaporation for only risk.
Good in humidity, slight yellowing by light or with air is possible.
CONDITIONS TO AVOID
High temperatures.
MATERIALS TO AVOID
Powerful oxidizing agents and acidic agents (particularly if the product has been accidentally concentrated or dehydrated).
HAZARDOUS THERMAL DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS
Toxic and pungent fumes; notably emission of ammonia, of carbon oxides and of nitrogen oxides.

XI - TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
No data are available regarding the preparation. The evaluation of health hazards has been realised thanks to
directives 67/548/EC, 1999/45/EC and bibliographical data.
SKIN
Irritating (more or less according to the contact length). Due to the presence of aliphatic amines, may also cause the
appearance of recurring eczemas on some sensitive people.
EYE MUCOSA
Irritating in case of contact.
RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
Harmful, may cause sensitisation by inhalation (asthma) on some sensitive people because of the presence of
ethylenediamine.
IN CASE OF INGESTION
Gastro-intestinal problems, irritations, pains, vomiting are possible.
INDUSTRIAL DISEASES: tables n49, 49a (in FRANCE).

HEALTH SURVEILLANCE
Council Directive 98/24/EC of 7 April 1998 on the protection of the health and safety of workers from the risks related to
chemical agents at work
An appropriate health surveillance of workers has to be carried out according to the risk.
For each worker who undergoes this health surveillance, individual health and exposure records are to be made and kept
up-to-date.
Other paragraphs in the French version of this safety data sheet summarize French rules regarding:
professional diseases,
health surveillance,
