Subject: English Topic: The Tortoise and The Hare Class: 3 Setia Time: 10.15 am 11.15 am (60 minutes)
Analyze Learners
General Characteristics: There are about 30 pupils in class 3 Setia, 15 girls and 15 boys. All of them are 9 year old and many of them live in rural area of Gua Musang, Kelantan. There are only 6 pupils who live in the nearest town. There are no library in this area and pupils cannot access reading materials on the internet because of poor reception. Based on pupils Nilam record book, only 3 of them have read five and above books. Reading books is important because it can widen pupils vocabulary, knowledge and language skills. Entry Characteristics: Teacher needs to make each lesson fun, interactive and motivating. This is because pupils will involve attentively in a lesson when they are enough motivated. Before this, 3 Melati pupils learned about animals that they have never seen by their own eye. The lesson was successful because when they were shown a video clip of the animals, they looked very curious and did not afraid to answer questions afterward. Learning Style: Visual=70% Majority of 3 Setia pupils like to learn by seeing. They will engage attentively in a lesson when there is a video clip. Moreover, traditional style of teaching is uninteresting and pupils tent to make a destructive learning environment when they are bored. Auditory (Aural)=10% Pupils with this learning style need many sound type teaching aids. This will help them to focus and attracted to the lesson. For example, teacher can use song video clips

Kinesthetic=20% With the hands on activity, pupils can coop with the lesson. They find it interesting because the lesson is based on their daily life. Later after the lesson, they can apply the new knowledge and thus, strengthen their understanding. An activity that can be used for kinesthetic learning style pupils is Total Physical Response. For example, pupils can learn new vocabulary about body parts by saying and showing body parts of their pears.
State Objectives
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: i) Pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation through reading aloud session. ii) Read for information and enjoyment. iii) Comprehend the storyline by answering true or false question iv) Express personal response to literary texts through writing opinion using appropriate language and style.

1. Watch video about the storybook to motivate pupils. 2. Pupils have to undergo a reading aloud session with teacher. 3. Discussion about what pupils have read. Practice: 1. Pupils have to do two interactive activities in the courseware to strengthen pupils understanding. 2. Teacher facilitates pupils when pupils do the activity. Production: 1. Pupils have to write simple sentences on the writing activity. 2. Teacher facilitates pupils in the activity by brainstorming exemplary ideas so that pupils will know what they have to write about. Closure: 1. Teacher and pupils discuss about values that have in the storybook. 2. Teacher have to give examples of real life situation of the moral values so that pupils will have a better understanding.

Evaluation methods for each of the following are included: 1. Student Performance 2. Media Effectiveness 3. Instructor Performance Media Effectiveness Evaluation and revise will be focused on three aspects: Learners Performance Pupils response on each stages. Activates that they do. Participation during discussion.
Instructor Performance Teacher and pupils have to reflect on strength and weaknesses of the lesson to improve other consequent lessons.
