Operation & Maintenance

Almost NIL (just cleaning of Solar Panels is required)

Why Solar Power and this huge Capital Investment?

1. Free, Independent & reliable powergenerated from solar power system shall be free andindependent during the
actual working hours.
2. Setting off with the ever rising electricity tariffs including the increase in the Diesel cost, which results in creating
a huge differential in the per annum electricity expenditures. At the 25th year the power cost is estimated to be
INR 35/kWh calculated at 5% escalation.
3. Net Metering:The new Policy initiative by the State Governments is announced wherein all the excess
powerexported to the Grid shall be reversed / sold to the utility grid through Net-Metering setup. Our system
has a Grid-Export facility wherein all excess power generated shall be reversed by to the Grid.
4. Nil Maintenance Cost:As far as the maintenance of the solar plant is concernedthe solar panels needs to
bewiped with a dry cloth after every 15 days.
5. Cost of System:Due to the incentives offered by the Government the cost of a solar system in India is
currentlythe same as in other parts of the World since there is no Excise duty and custom duty on import of such
products. All Products proposed under his proposal are approved by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy
(MNRE).
6. Compliance for the RPO (Renewable Energy Purchase Obligation): As per the directions of the CentralElectricity
wherein all obligated entities are directed to purchase a minimum of 6% of the total power consumption either
by generating renewable power or by purchasing REC (Renewable Energy Certificates) which are traded in the
IEX and PXIL between Rs.9.30/- (Floor price) to Rs.13.40/-(Forbiddance Price) per unit. All entities not complying
with this will be penalized for Rs.13.40/- per unit. RPO mandates are currently followed strictly in some of the
states and are becoming stringent by the State Governments day by day, because all State DISCOMS have also
been directed to comply with their RPO targets by 2022.
7. Return on Investment: 4-5 years
8. Project Useful Life as accredited by Govt. of India:25 Years
9. Tax benefits:Various tax exemptions, capital subsidies and incentives are available for several components and subcomponents of solar energy value chain. Other benefits like Generation based incentives (GBI), accelerated
depreciation, tax holiday period on adopting renewable energy system including solar are also being given by the
Central/State govt and other agencies.

Turnkey Engineering, Procurement & Commissioning (EPC) by Nept Solar

NEPT Solar Pvt Ltd as a company started with its kW-MW scale projects. The team has set up solar plants where it is
developing kW-MW scale independent solar plants& Roof-Top solutions for its clients and investors as a Project

sustainable energy models. The Company has been founded by entrepreneurs with a proven track record of nurturing
ventures to success & creating wealth for all stakeholders.

Mounting Arrangements:

Structural Anchoring: Panels shall be mounted on MS structure inclined at 20 to 30 degrees to the south. The structure is
designed in such a manner that module can be replaced easily and in line with site requirements and it is easy to install
and service in future. The frames will be supported by angle legs of suitable lengths to provide the pre-determined
inclination. All fasteners, nut and bolts are made of Stainless steel - SS 304 5.4.6 PCC.
Foundation Base: The legs of the structures made with GI angles are made of fixed and grouted in the PCC foundation
columns made with 1:2:4 cement concrete. Actual frame and other structural dimensions will be determined during a
more detailed site visit by specialists during full design phase.
Module Mounting System: The mounting structure is designed for holding suitable number of modules in a series. The
frames and leg assemblies of the array structures are made of mild steel hot dip galvanized of suitable sections of angle,
channel or any other section confirming to IS 2062. Hot dip galvanized steel nuts and bolts will be used. The structure is
designed in such a way that it will occupy minimum space without sacrificing the output from SPV modules.
Type 1: Rooftop and Ground Mounted Structure

Type 2: Raised Installation on rooftop

Type 3: Vertical Integration

This unique type of installation is basically used in Residential and Commercial buildings where there is a huge
power demand with less rooftop and ground space. NEPT designing engineers installs the panels on the outer
plinth of the building adding on to its aesthetics and providing natural light and heat insulation.

Solar System Design:

Installation of Grid Tied Solar System
This system avoids all sorts of power failures. DC power generated by the solar panels is fed to the Inverter and AC
power is obtained as output. During the daytime the solar modules generate solar electricity and keep feeding the
Inverter. Grid-connected PV systems are designed to operate in parallel with and interconnected with the electric utility
grid. The primary component in grid-connected PV systems is the inverter.

GRID CONNECTED SYSTEM (SOLAR + GRID)

HYBRID DESIGN SYSTEM (SOLAR + GRID + BATTERY)

Integration of Products:

Solar Inverters
Solar Panels (230-300w/p)

Solar Battery Bank

Balance of System

Cables and Connectors, Junction Boxes: The cables deployed will be robust and resist high mechanical load and tension.
High temperature resistance and weather proofing characteristics will provide long life. The connectors will have high
current carrying capacity.
Safety Earthing/Grounding System: A safety earthing system consisting of a buried GI flat conductor earthing grid will be
provided for the switchyard and the Solar PV array system. The earthing system will be formed to limit the grid
resistance to below 1 ohm. In the switchyard area, the touch potential and step potential will be limited to the safe
values.
Electrical: Fire-proof hose shaft will be used for running electrical cables down to the electrical panel room.
Metering: PV Array Energy Production: Digital Meters in-build in PCU shall log the actual value of AC/DC Voltage, Current
& Energy generated by the PV system shall be provided.
