A. Apprentice firefighter will complete this assignment as a
requirement for their apprenticeship.
III. Learning Objectives
A. Apprentice will execute three pre-fire plans of addresses in
assigned territory.
1. First property will be a high occupancy address, examples
are as follows:
a) Garden apartment
b) High rise apartment or dorm
2. Second property will be a commercial property address,
examples are as follows:
a) Manufacturing facility
b) Large storage facility
c) Commerce or restaurant facility
3. Third property will be a complex property utilized in the
Inspection Practices assignment.
B. The pre-fire plans will cover:
1. Foot-print of property
2. Madison Fire Department-Risk Analysis
IV. Assignment Expectations
A. Apprentice will execute three pre-fire plans from territory.
1. Pre-fire plans will:
a) Be a footprint of property
b) Identify FDCs and Hydrants that would be utilized
c) Fire department first in response vehicles
B. Apprentice will complete a Madison Fire Department-Risk
Analysis sheet for each property.
C. Apprentice will complete outline that will Identify and describe:
1. The selected properties and the risk and hazard potential
based off the Madison Fire Department-Risk Analysis
sheet.
D. Apprentice will describe the identified risk and hazard potential
through a company drill based off approved outline.
E. Suggested timeline:
1. 1st month: Footprints and Madison Fire Department-Risk
