In The Beginning
Genesis 1:1-31 – 2:3
Students will illustrate the six days of creation by making creation spinners.
Materials
1. White 67 lb. Cardstock
2. Creation Spinner Patterns (Part 1 and 2)
3. Scissors
4. Markers, Crayons, or Colored Pencils
5. Paper Brads
Directions
1. Copy the two creation spinner patterns (part 1 and 2) onto 67 lb. cardstock for each student.
2. Have the students illustrate the six days of creation using markers, crayons, or colored pencils.
3. Have the students cut out both of the creation spinner patterns.
4. Place pattern 2 on top of pattern 1.
5. Push a brad through the black dot in the center.
6. Spin the top part on the creation spinner to reveal each day’s creation.
For Discussion
While the students are illustrating their creation spinners, discuss some of the other things God has
created (that are not printed on the creation spinners). Help students realize the magnitude of all that God
has created.
