10. Only who is counted blessed and will be saved? Rev. 1:3.
Who prepares our hearts that we may be able to study the
Bible right?
ANSWER: "The Bible should never be studied without
prayer. The Holy Spirit alone can cause us to feel the import-
ance of those things easy to be understood, or prevent us from
wresting truths difficult of comprehension. It is the office of
heavenly angels to prepare the hearts so to comprehend God's
word that we shall be charmed with its beauty, admonished by
its warnings, or animated and stren!!"thened by its promises."-
"The Great Controversy," pp. 599, 600.
-13-
NOTE: "It is the Spirit that causes to shine into dark-
ened minds the bright beams of the Sun of Righteousness;
that makes men's hearts burn within them with an awakened
i'ealization of the truths of eternity; that presents before the
mind the gl~eat standard of righteousness, and convinces of sin;
that inspires faith in Him who alone can save from sin; that
works to transform character by withdrawing the affections of
men from those things which are .temporal and perishable and
fixing them upon the eternal inheritance. The Spirit recreates,
Tefines, and sanctifies human beings, getting them to become
members of the royal family, children of the heavenly King."-
"Gospel Workers," p. '286, 287.
8. What should we do with our sinful traits of character, and
what important admonition is given us? Col. 3:1-10; Phil.

NOTE: "The Spirit that reveals, also works in him the
fruits of righteousness. . . Those who have this Spirit are
.earnest workers together with God; the heavenly intelligences
co-operate with them, and they go weighted with the spirit of
the message that they bear."-"Gospel Workers," pp. 287, 288.
10. How should those conduct themselves who belong to Christ,
and how should they perform aU their duties in every
respect of their life? Col. 3:12-17..
NOTE: "The meekness of Christ, manifested in the home,
will make the inmates happy; it provokes no quarrel, gives
back no .angry answer, but soothes the irritated temper, and
:diffuses a gentleness that is felt by all within its charmed
circle. Wherever cherished, it makes the families of earth a
part of the one great family above."-"Thoughts from the
Mount of Blessing," p. 32. .

ANSWER: "As a people we have been given the work
.of making known the principles of health reform. There are
some who think that the question of diet is not of sufficient
importance to be included in their evangelistic work. But such
make a great mistake. . . The light that the Lord has given
<In this subject in His word is plain, and men will be tested and

Health reform is to do among our people a work which it has
-not yet done. There are those who ought to be awake to the
danger of meat-eating, who are still eating the flesh of animals,
thus endangering the physical, mental, and spiritual health.
Many who are now only half converted on the question of
meat-eating will go from God's people, to walk no more with

of the Lord."-"Testimonies," Vol. 6, p. 112; Vol. 3, p. 161.
