Attendance
Article XXI, Section 101 of CHED CMO 40, Series of 2008, states, “A student who incurs absences of more
than twenty (20%) percent of the prescribed number of class or laboratory periods during the school year or
term shall fail and earn no credit for the course or subject except in the instances as follows: 1) When the
institute (Engineering cluster) adopts a different attendance policy for students who belong to the upper half of
their classes; and 2) When the institute (school/department) exempts a student for a just and reasonable

ground, provided however that, the student is not excused from keeping-up with lessons, assignments,
exercises and plates. A faculty member may exempt a student who incurs absences beyond the twenty per
cent (20%) limit, but with the approval of proper school authority.”

Language of Instruction
Discussion, instructions and demonstration will be in English.

Consultation Schedule
Consultation schedules with the Professor are posted at the SMS bulletin board. It is
recommended that the student first set an appointment to confirm the instructor’s availability.

General Safety Rules and Regulations

Honor, Dress and Grooming Codes

All of us have been instructed on the Dress and Grooming Codes of the Institute. We have all committed
to obey and sustain these codes. It will be expected in this class that each of us will honor the commitments
that we have made.
For this course the Honor Code is that there will be no plagiarizing on written work and on concept.
Proper citation must be given to authors whose works were used in the process of developing instructional
materials and learning in this course. If a student is caught cheating on an exam, he or she will be given
zero mark for the exam. If a student is caught cheating twice, the student will be referred to the Prefect of
Student Affairs and be given a failing grade.
