Mechanics of the game:
1. Each group will prepare a short yell to support their representatives.
2. The teacher will read a statement and the representatives will listen carefully.
3. The representative will have to decide whether the statement is a fact or opinion.
4. If their answer is incorrect they will be automatically eliminated in the game.
5. The teacher will continue to give statements until there was only one pupil standing.
D. Discussing new concepts

The teacher will group the students and each group will present a certain task:
Group 1- The teacher will provide slips of papers and they will group the statements to complete the
chart. They will assign two reporters to present their work.
Group 2- The pupils will write five facts and opinions about VRES. They will assign two reporters to
present their work.
Group 3- The pupils will give three answers to the question “ Why is it important to know how to
distinguish fact from opinion?.”. They will assign two reporters to present their work.
Are you aware that some of those news are facts and some are just opinions?
