    The day you were born to this world Noong isilang ka sa mundong ito
    Your parents were full of joy Laking tuwa ng magulang mo
    And their arms are your light At ang kamay nila ang iyong ilaw
    And your mother and father At ang nanay at tatay mo’y
    Worries and don't know what to do Di malaman ang gagawin
    Watches over you even in your sleep Minamasdan pati pagtulog mo
    And in the night, a sleepless night, your At sa gabi’y napupuyat ang iyong nanay
    mother Sa pagtimpla ng gatas mo
    Is still awake to prepare your milk
    At sa umaga nama’y kalong ka
    And in the morning you are in the laps Ng iyong amang tuwang-tuwa sa iyo
    Of your father, who is so joyful because of you
    Ngayon nga ay malaki ka na
    Now you are all grown up Nais mo’y maging malaya
    You desire to be independent Di man sila payag, Walang magagawa
    Even if your parent forbid, they can't stop you
    Ikaw nga ay biglang nagbago
    Isn't it you that changed a lot Naging matigas ang iyong ulo
    Disobeyed them, remained stubborn At ang payo nila’y sinuway mo
    And you did not follow their advice
    Di mo man lang inisip na
    You did not took the time Ang kanilang ginagawa’y para sa iyo
    To think about all the things they've done for
    you Pagkat ang nais mo’y, Masunod ang layaw
    mo
    For you desire, only what is pleasurable Di mo sila pinapansin
    You just ignored them
    Nagdaan pa ang mga araw
    And the days has past At ang landas mo’y naligaw
    And you took a wrong turn in life Ikaw ay nalulong sa masamang bisyo
    You are imprisoned in a horrible vice
    At ang una mong nilapitan
    And you first approach Ang iyong inang lumuluha
    Your dear crying mother At ang tanong,”anak, ba’t ka nagkaganyan”
    And asked "Child, what happened to you?"
    At ang iyong mata’y biglang lumuha
    And your eyes immediately shed tears ng di mo napapansin
    Without you noticing
    Nagsisisi at sa isip mo’y
    Regretful and you realized Nalaman mong ika’y nagkamali
    That you were at fault
