Primary Agency Assignment – Digital Marketing Flyer (Coastal Carolina University Athletics)

Assignment Description:

For my 60 hour Field Experience portion of the class, I worked for the Digital Marketing group

supporting Coastal Carolina University Athletics. I attended many CCU sporting events and was

introduced to how the various digital channels and platforms were used to provide continuous

communications and updated information for each sports team. Therefore, in creating the Digital

Marketing Flyer, this would provide people details on where and how they could find additional

information on a particular sport or CCU Athletics in general.

Assignment Steps:

The steps I took when creating the Digital Marketing Flyer supporting CCU Athletics included

identifying the following:

- All of the online and digital channels currently supported by Coastal Carolina University

such as Website, Email, SMS Text & Social Media (Facebook & Twitter).

- Developing the same online and digital channels capabilities geared towards Coastal

Carolina University Athletics.

- Listing the devices a person could use to join, follow and receive continual information

on Coastal Carolina University Athletics, such as cell phones, tablets, computers & TVs.

I then created an attractive flyer that included everything described above in an easy to follow

manner.
Assignment Purpose:

The purpose of creating the Digital Marketing Flyer is to provide individuals available options to

follow and receive any type of information on Coastal Carolina University Athletics. It allows

the Digital Marketing group to continually promote and communicate with several groups of

audiences:

- Current Students

- Alumni

- Parents of Current Students / Alumni

- Prospective Student Athletes In High School

- Local Towns People

- Local Corporations

- Sponsors

- Donors

This will definitely increase the visibility of Coastal Carolina University as a whole and

specifically the Athletic Department.
