Jose Rizal's Childhood Education

a. Describe the life of Rizal as a young boy. Compare his life when he was young to our

young boys today.

Just like other young boys today, Rizal even had a fight with other boys. He is

said to be a best student at his time, as he excels in his academics. If being compared to

the young boys of the present, not all of them may be the like Rizal who is studious but I

believe there are still a few ones who are like that. Some may not be good in academic

but for sure there are the other things that they excel or things they love to do.

b. Discuss the significant role played by Rizal's mother in his early education

Teodora Alonso, her mother, is also his first teacher. Rizal learned the alphabet

and prayers at the age of three and her mother are the one who first recognized that. She

also realized that his son has a potential in poetry.
