■ Welding instruction for the base profiles no. 129005 and 129010
The welding of the RAICO base profiles was inspected and evaluated as fulfilled by the Schweißtechnische Lehr- und
Versuchsanstalt (SLV) Munich in a welding procedure qualification with verification certificate after DIN EN 288-3.
The welding of the RAICO base profiles in stainless steel has to be carried out with the following data in compliance with
the welding instruction of the SLV Munich WPQR no. 16422/10:
welding method: tMAG (135)
welding position: PB
type of seam: HY
base material: S355J2 / 1.4301
area of thickness: ≥ 4 mm
You should pause briefly at the start of the weld until the melt has achieved a connection with the base profile. Then begin
with feeding. The minimum area of the welding seam connection must be 45 mm². With a welding seam length of min. 15
mm, the minimum connection width is 3 mm taking into account the start of the seam.
The use of the RAICO welding device and the RAICO pliers is recommended.

THERM+ S-I
1. – Use a screwdriver with an adjustable torque
limit.
– Set the torque to about 4.5 Nm.
2. – Screws should be inserted at a spacing
of ≤ 250 mm.
End distance: 40 mm
3. – Check the appearance and the dimensions of
the exterior gasket and the pressure profile
after tightening.
– The gaskets must not bulge out of the side, and
the pressure profile must not bulge inwards.
– If necessary, reduce or increase the
screwdriver torque.
THERM+ FS-I
1. – We recommend to use the screw coupling
screw area no. 441250 (see V-0171 “Application of the
screw coupling”.
2. – Screws should be inserted at a spacing
of ≤ 250 mm.

■ Application
– Adjust the screw depth
Lossen the counter nut 2, turn ring 3 into the
desired direction and screw again counter nut 2.
Repeat is necessary.
One turn corresponds to approx. 1 mm of change
of screw depth.
Screw depths see VFS-I-0063 “Screw protrusions
hexagonal 1 and application of the height control FS-I”.
– Remove screws
Hold the screw coupling at the hexagonal 1. Slide
ring 3 upwards and turn it to left or right a little bit
until the screw coupling locks. Now it is blocked for
counter-clockwise rotation.
To unlock hold again at the hexagonal 1 and turn
ring 3 to left or right a little bit (coupling locks out).
– Change the bit
Move the screw coupling into the position for
counter-clockwise rotation (see above).
Unscrew ring 3 completely downwards and remove
the bit with pliers.
