    Week 23 Day 4

    Content Focus: There are places in the community where we can have fun.

    Introduction of message for the day by asking the guide

    MESSAGE We can visit other places to have fun (water)

    QUESTION/S Have you been to the beach/pool/river/stream?


    What are the things that you saw there?
    What are the things that you did?
    Did you have fun? What made you say so?
    There are other places to visit to have fun such as the
    beach, river, stream, pool, resort, etc. (Choose places that
    are available in the community).
    Transition to The teacher gives instruction on how to do the independent
    Work period 1 activities, answer any questions, and tells the learners to join
    their group and do the assigned tasks.

    Checkpoints ⁄ Put together puzzle pieces to complete a picture of a
    recreational place in the community
    ⁄ Follow the rules of the game and identify the different
    places of recreation
    ⁄ Lace the letter Jj
    ⁄ Mold the play dough into different places of recreation

    Transition to The teacher reminds the learners about the time left in Work
    Meeting Time 2 Period 1 around 15 minutes before meeting time 2.After 10
    minutes, the teacher tells the learners to start packing away
    the materials they used and be ready for meeting time 2. A
    transition song or a countdown may be used.

    Meeting Time 2 Let the learners present their work.

    QUESTIONS/ Show different pictures of places of recreation.


    ACTIVITY Ask the students to identify the beginning sound of each.
    Ask the students to give words that begin with the same
    sound.

    Some places have water. This includes the beach, stream,


    etc…

    Transition to The teacher commends the learners for the work they did in
    Recess Work Period 1 and tells them to prepare for recess time by
    washing their hands. Encourage sharing especially if not all
    children have food.

    Transition to The teacher reminds the children to pack away the things
    Quiet Time they used in recess time, clean up their eating area, throw
    their trash in the trash bin, wash their hands, brush their
    teeth, changes their wet clothes, and have their Quiet time.

    Story Time Theme: Any age and culturally appropriate story about other
