Problem solving

Theoretical How to fix Faced Didn’t face

Actors playing I will have to have my actors audition
convincing characters roles so I know whether they are reliable
and up for certain character I give them. If
there are people I know are good at acting,
I could slightly base the character around
them, so they fit the role better.
Copy write on For whatever music track I use in my
YouTube short film, I will need to make sure that
the creators are either mentioned or have a
link to their official page, so to avoid a
copy write strike, however I will also try
and avoid already copyrighted music, just
for safe measures.
Age restrictions There could be violence or some other
action that is not suitable for some
audiences, however in my production
there will be no swearing in any scenes,
but I will still put an age restriction on.
Narrative I will need to research the different codes
structure/meeting the and conventions for the genres so that I
codes and conventions have a greater understanding of how to
of drama, comedy and portray that certain genre in my own
possible action genres. production, to create the right tone/mood
and lighting in different scenes.

Practical How to fix Faced Didn’t face

Lighting I will need to bring and use practical
lights to every scene that I shoot, so I have
more control in indoor locations, where as
outside locations in the daytime, I will
need to bring and use a bounce to reflect
some of the sunlight. I will also look into
the conventions of how light is used in
different genres.
Sound I will always shoot with the microphone
turned on, to capture the natural sound,
but will have to take out the majority of
the sound if there are random noises in the
scene. I will also use a better microphone
to enhance the audio.
Website layout I have made previous websites, so I will to
stick to what I have done before, and use
the simple but informative sectioned
layout to include all aspects of my work.
Time management To help me keep on track with working on
research and planning for the production, I
have created a production schedule
including what work I need to complete
and the dates I need to complete it by.
Locations Whether inside or outside, I will need to
bring practical lighting and other lighting
equipment just in case, but I will check
each location is suitable for filming in,
without having much background noise as
well as less activity from people, unless
needs be in the scene.
Camera settings Before each shot, I will need to manually
set up the settings in the camera, such as
having the correct white balance,
exposure etc. This is so each shot in each
scene watches and doesn’t look off. The
look of the scene depends on the genre of
the story.
