List Guidelines
➔ A member may only join lists that their Database Approved Character(s) (they must be in the DB
attached to a VSS) are affiliated with, such as Clan, Sect, Position (if applicable), and Faction (if
applicable). Members found to be on Lists that they should not have IC access to can result in
disciplinary action. You cannot join Lists if your PC is pending Approvals.
➔ A member is responsible for removing themselves from Lists that they should no longer have IC
access to (via character death, Sect changes, loss of an Alt ID, etc). Failure to do so can result in
disciplinary action.
➔ When joining a List, you must write in the justification section your Character’s name, indicate
they are a part of whatever group the list is about, and if necessary include the DB Approval #.
➔ There is only one fully OOC List for Masquerade. The National ST staff may make OOC
announcements on the IC Lists if necessary. They are the only ones who are allowed to post
OOC to the IC Lists. All other OOC posts should occur on the OOC List, or be taken private.
➔ Lists cannot be infiltrated with the exception of the Alternate Identity Background. Character’s
with an Alternate ID at Level 4 or higher can access an appropriate list for their Approved
Alternate ID.
➔ All Lists are moderated OOCly and some Lists are moderated ICly. Violations of the Code of
Conduct and posting OOCly on the IC lists can lead to a temporary posting ban or removal. IC
moderation will be dealt with IC.
➔ All List Posts (unless specified otherwise in certain instances) must be signed with the Player’s
Name and MES Number. Character identities are always known to the IC moderators/managers
of the Lists.
➔ The Lists can be found here.
List Modifiers
➔ Heavy Moderation: Some lists are marked as heavily moderated. Posts that are irrelevant,
against the published setting, trolling, low content, or otherwise inappropriate will be moderated
and the posting character removed from the list for a period of time.
➔ Consequences: Some lists are marked as having consequences. Posts counter to the published
setting, “internet-courage”, frivolous posts, or speaking ill of powerful characters will have direct
consequences up to and including character death.
● Please note that proxy or your VST’s permission is not necessarily needed to enact
these consequences.

➔ Restricted: Some lists are marked as restricted. These lists permit a character to post only a
certain number of times over a certain period. This includes replies. Violation of this rule will result
in removal of list access.
List Settings
The Anarch Movement
The Anarchs are the most technologically advanced of the various Sects. As such, their communications
remain on the cutting edge. Tonight they use a series of encrypted servers spread across the globe
administered by several trusted technomancers.
The Camarilla
Despite its reputation of stagnation, the Camarilla communications have advanced with the times thanks
in large part to Ventrue finances and Tremere Technomancers. Although Elders may not have moved
away from the art of placing quill to parchment, they understand that their childer and retainers can
quickly and efficiently project their thoughts across time and space through the advents of technology. As
such, all members of the Camarilla have found a means to utilize the Sect’s communication lists.
However, the Ivory Tower is built on respect and fear. Although only the rarest of Elders would be found
pounding away at a keyboard in some dark corner of their palatial mansion, all Elders have minions that
monitor the lists and who report offenses back to the powers-that-be. Those who are disrespectful or who
speak out of turn quickly find themselves summoned and silenced. Security for the lists are provided by
both the computer savvy members of the Tower and the Tremere Technomancers. As such, the list
cannot be hacked.
➔ If a post violates the above IC mandates, the moderator has the power to immediately suspend
the character’s access to that list. The character will be informed by the moderator of the
suspension and the player of that character shall not post as that character until the suspension is
lifted by the moderator.
➔ Characters that post in violation of the above IC mandates may suffer additional IC
consequences as deemed proper by the NST staff in order to ensure the enforcement of the
setting.

The Sabbat
The Sabbat communication network was modern in the early 2000’s CE, but has started to show its age.
Embedded in a series of well known websites are forums where posts are automatically replicated to the
back-end of the other sites in real time. There have been efforts to modernize, but the somewhat recent
splintering and reforming of many of the Sabbat factions has stalled the effort. The Regent approved the
Prisci Council to create a series of lists in support of the Crusades to coordinate activities. The Loyalist list
was created quickly to get the clutter off the main Sabbat list and other Factions followed. Moderation is
barely tolerated, but most accept it as a necessary evil and the Regent has declared lines of
communication should remain open. Everyone in the Sabbat accepts his Authority and trolling on those
lists labeled “Heavy Moderation” is known to get a member silenced (rumors of abusers disappearing are
not unheard of).
➔ If a post violates the above IC mandates, the moderator has the power to immediately suspend
the character’s access to that list. The character will be informed by the moderator of the
suspension and the player of that character shall not post as that character until the suspension is
lifted by the moderator.
➔ Characters that post in violation of the above IC mandates may suffer additional IC
consequences as deemed proper by the NST staff in order to ensure the enforcement of the
setting.

Unaffiliated Communications
Unaffiliated Lists are those not managed nor secured by a single Sect. These communication forums are
set up differently, based on their creators and their purpose.
Unaffiliated Lists:
❖ The Keepers of Boons and Prestation (Consequences)
➢ Camarilla Harpies, Anarch Ambassadors, IA Viragos may join.
❖ NST Secret Society Lists (Various)
➢ The lists for NST Secret Societies are by invitation only. When a character is approved to
be a member of a NST Secret Society, the player will be provided access to the
appropriate list. Depending on the nature of the NST Secret Society, it may be
recommended by the list moderator that characters communicate on the list via alias
email accounts in order to maintain secrecy.
❖ The Alliance Codex
➢ This list is currently NOT AVAILABLE. We will make an announcement when it is up.
