    The following provisions regarding the maximum extent and the character of the assumed damage
    should be applied :

    Side Damage
    1/3*L^(2/3) or 14.5m, Whichever is less
    Longitudinal Extent
    2.10 m
    B/5 or 11.5m, whichever is less (measured inboard from the ship's side
    Transverse Extent at right angles to the centerline at the level of the summer load line)
    0.84 m
    Upwards without limit (measured from the moulded line of the bottom sheel
    Vertical Extent plating at centreline)
    Unlimited

    Bottom Damage for 0.3L from the forward perpendicular of the ship
    1/3*L^(2/3) or 14.5m, Whichever is less
    Longitudinal Extent
    2.10 m
    B/6 0r 10m, Whichever is Less
    Transverse Extent
    0.70 m
    B/15 or 6m, whichever is less (measured from the moulded line of the
    Vertical Extent Bottom shell plating at centerline)

    Bottom Damage for any other part of the ship
