Activity Guide and Evaluation Rubric – Task 5 Technological Component

With this task, you are expected to achieve the following learning outcomes:

The student will be able to design his/her own website based on course online
contents.

The task consists of:

Step 1: Create the Wix

Design a Website on Wix (it is necessary to have a WiX-account).

Step 2: Explain

Publish a website which must be included a presentation of you giving explanation of


how we can use a biological resource as technology in order to help the environment.
For that, you must use one of the topics developed in the Unit 3 (Module 9 to Module
12).

The website must include the following aspects:

- Objective
- Explanation:
- Video recording (3 to 5 minutes)
- Written instructions (at least 10gG steps)
- Final product (a real photo of your product, if possible)

- Doing a compost
- Recycling
- Use of wind to produce energy

The student will share the link of the website in a .PDF or .DOC on the Evaluation
Environment

For the development of the activity consider that:

In the Initial Information Environment, you must:

- Check the agenda out to verify the opening and closing dates of the task

In the Learning Environment, you must:

- Check out and study the Online Content (Level B2 from module 9 to module
12). Enter the forum and participate in the development of Individual and
Collaborative tasks.

In the Evaluation Environment, you must:

- Upload one PDF format document with the link of the Wix-site.

2. General Guidelines for the Development of Evidences to Submit

For Individual evidences, consider the following:

 Every student must participate with academic’s contributions in the activity


development.

 Before delivering the suggested product, all the requirements indicated in this
activity guide must be checked.

Please keep in mind that all individual or collaborative written products must comply
with the spelling rules and presentation conditions defined in this activity guide.
Regarding the use of references, consider that the product of this activity must
comply with APA style.
In any case, make sure you comply with the rules and avoid academic plagiarism.
You can review your written products using the Turnitin tool found in the virtual
campus.

Under the Academic Code of Conduct, the actions that infringe the academic order,
among others, are the following: paragraph e) Plagiarism is to present as your own
work all or part of a written report, task or document of invention carried out by
another person. It also implies the use of citations or lack of references, or it
includes citations where there is no match between these and the reference and

The academic penalties students will face are:


a) In case of academic fraud demonstrated in the academic work or evaluation, the
score obtained will be zero (0.0) without any disciplinary measures being derived.
b) In case of proven plagiarism in academic work of any nature, the score obtained
will be zero (0.0), without any disciplinary measures being derived.
