MACRO LESSON PLAN Date: 18, may 2021

TOPIC: Lines and angles GRADE: VIIth TIME ALLOTED: 30 MINS TYPE OF LP: Conceptual lesson plan

SUBTOPIC: Vertically Opposite Angles

SUB-TOPIC SUMMARY: This lesson plan is about the vertically opposite angles which will be explained by giving real life examples and
finding out their vertically opposite angles.

A. PRE-TEACHING STAGE (PLANNING STAGE) :

OBJECIVES: After the completion of this student will be able to:

Cognitive: (i) Remembering- Define Vertically Opposite Angles
(ii) Understanding- Illustrate Vertically Opposite Angles
(iii) Applying- Constitute Vertically Opposite Angles are equal
Affective: (i) Analysis- Differentiate between the pairs of Vertically Opposite Angles
(ii) Evaluating- Relate Vertically Opposite Angles in real life situation
Psychomotor: (i) Creating – Solve the questions of Vertically Opposite Angles

TECHNICAL VOCABULORY: Vertically opposite angles, pairs, angles, opposite angles, lines.

INSTRUCTIONAL MAP :
Concept Map –
INTERVENTIONS FOR TEACHING:
Cultural- Fan, Scissor, X(alphabet), sign board, Iron table stand, North-south-west-east board.
ICT – Video, PPT and live demonstration
Mind Map-

Define Vertically Opposite Angles

Illustrate Vertically Opposite Angles

Constitute Vertically Opposite Angles are equal

Differentiate between the pairs of Vertically Opposite Angles

Relate Vertically Opposite Angles in real life situation

Solve the questions of Vertically Opposite Angles

BIG IDEA:
In this Multimedia Lesson Plan the Big Idea is Taking Action where the Pupil Teacher will give Live Demonstration. Where she will proof that
when two lines intersect, the vertically opposite angles so formed are equal by giving live demo on the blackboard.

POINT. PROCESS

1. Introducing In order to check the Previous Knowledge of

P.K. Testing students the PT will ask some questions about
- Q-Answers angles 5 min
(i) Acute Angle
(ii) Obtuse Angle
(iii) Right Angle
(iv) Reflex Angle
(v) Adjacent Angle
(vi) Linear Pair
(vii) Vertically Opposite Angles
Announcement of Topic Finding the students unable to answer the last
question, P.T will say, “Well students, today we
will explore about the vertically opposite
angles”.

2. Exploring The PT will give alive demo that when two 5 min
lines intersect, we got 4 angles. By taking two
pencil if we tie them we got 4 angles.
The PT will define vertically opposite angles
and illustrate it with the help of giving real life
examples i.e., Fan, Scissor, X(alphabet), sign
board, Iron table stand in the PPT. Also, a
video will be shown related to this.

The PT will help in differentiating the pairs of 5 min

3. Explaining
vertically opposite angles and.

The PT will construct two lines and mark their

4. Taking Action 15 min
vertically opposite angles and proof that when
two lines intersect, the vertically opposite
angles so formed are equal by giving live demo
on the blackboard. Also, video will be shown
regarding the proof.
Let AB and CD be two lines intersecting at O
making angles ∠ 1 ,∠2, ∠3 and ∠4.
As ∠1 + ∠ 2 = 180° ( Linear Pair)
And ∠2 + ∠ 3=180° ( Linear Pair )
So from equation 1 and equation 2 we get
∠ 1=∠3

C. POST TEACHING STAGE (EVALUATION STAGE) :

2. RECAPITULATION:
LEARNING EVALUATION:

1. DRILL

3. EXTENSION OF LEARNING ACTIVITY
