According to Emergency Plan the Chief Officer is acting as a Chief of fire party. Fire party must go to the
engine room for fire fighting. They have protective clothing, smoke helmets and breathing apparatus.

This is your captain with an important announcement. We have a minor fire in the engine room. There is
no immediate danger to our passengers.
The ship's fire brigade is fighting the fire. The fire is under control.

have further information I will make another announcement.
I ask you kindly to remain calm. There is no danger at this time.

B. Passanger Care

1. Mention some special spaces that prohibited the passengers to enter, based on safety
regulations:
- navigating bridge
- engine room

- all areas and spaces marked "Crew only"
- all closed, sealed and/or roped off areas, spaces and rooms

2. Mention what things we have to do to prevent and report fire emergency situation and what do
you have to do if you detect any problem with how way to inform others passengers:
- never smoke on deck except in areas labeled as smoking areas
- be careful to extinguish cigarettes completely
- put used cigarettes in a container provided
- never throw a cigarette overboard
- never smoke in bed
- the use of naked light and open fire is strictly prohibited
- Never use an electric iron in a cabin. If you need to iron something use the
ironing room on 5th deck. The key may be collected at the information desk.
If you detect a fire, smell or smoke act immediately as follows
i. Call out "Fire!"
ii. Operate the nearest fire alarm.
iii. Inform a member of the crew.
iv. Telephone the navigating bridge. The number to dial is 10 01.

3. International regulations require all passengers to be assembled


in a drill which has to take place within 24 hours of leaving port.
A drill will be held :
- to familiarize passengers with their assembly stations
- to familiarize passengers with their life-saving equipment
- to familiarize passengers with emergency procedures

Answer:

1. Looking out the situation and condition in the vicinity.


2. Do some calculation to determine weather there are any risks of collision or not.
3. Call the captain if you are in a doubtness.
4. Reduce your speed.
5. Contact the opposite vessel to prevent the collision what should we do in that
condition.
6. Don’t forget to inform the port control about this risk and we should pay attention
to its advice.
7. Sound the emergency alarm.
