Introduction
The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA believes and invokes Divine Guidance
in the betterment of the quality of life through national development and transformation,
which are predicted upon the quality of education of its people. Towards this end, the
institution is committed to the ideals of teaching, community service, and research as it
nurtures the value of Helpers of God, with Character Building is Nation Building as its
guiding principle.
UPHD Mission, Vision, Philosophy and Core Values

As a system of service in health and in education, it is dedicated to the formation of
Christian service and research oriented professional, leaders and citizens with great
social concern and commitment to the delivery of quality education and health care.
It shall produce perpetuality’s as Helpers of God, a vital ingredient of nation building.
Being Part of UPHSD is a great blessing, The goal is more like idealistic in a way that is
too good to be true. But it is actually good that UPHSD is striving hard to achieve such
goals in the world of academics To achieve such goal, one must realize that the school
or institution does not actually make you achieve your goals but you have to strive hard
to achieve such goal.
It shall provide a venue for the pursuit of excellence in academics, technology, and
research through community partnership.
The University shall take the role of a catalyst for human development. It shall inculcate
Christian values, Catholic in doctrine as a way of strengthening the moral fiber of the
Filipino, a people who are Helpers of God, proud of their race and prepared for the
exemplary global participation in the arts, sciences, humanities, and business.
I could see that institution is really striving hard to be the center of academic
excellence. Unfortunately, after schooling here for one semester I saw various students
actually dictating the teacher what to do. The assignments, tests, and quizzes are easy
because everyone got source. If you won’t share your answers with them, you will be an
outcast in the class. Peer pressure. So much for academic excellence. Relating to my
vision in life, I could actually say that UPHSD and I have the almost the same vision
(almost for I am not an academic institution), to achieve excellence. Excellence in every
way I can.

1. Love of God, Love of Self , Family and Neighbor - There is a prerequisite to loving thy
neighbor, too. “God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son
into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. But, if we love each other,
God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.
2. Love of Country and Good Governance - Good governance in this study is a set of
responsibilities and procedures exercise by an institution or government to provide
strategic direction to ensure educational objectives are achieved through effective and
efficient use of resources, accountability, and participation of people in decision-
making.
3. Academic and Professional Excellence - Be trusty so as to believe in others,

collaborate and share with others to explore their potential height.
4. Health and Ecological Consciousness - Eco-friendly schools have their obvious

benefits for our dear planet. Such schools are created to promote eco-friendly ways of
life and reduce our impact on the environment.
5. Peace and Global Solidarity - Peace can help achieve the right to basic quality
education. Peace education helps young people gain knowledge, enhance their skills in
the area of peace, and form an attitude about the meaning of peace in human life.
Peace education prevents the emergence of conflicts and creates conditions for peace
in the world.
6. Filipino Christian Leadership – UPHSD in developing the character and to promote

the values that our lord teaches us. And to share and to live in the community conveying
the values from our lord that FCL programs teaches to us.
7. Value of Catholic Doctrine - Daily exposure to the Catholic faith is important to

developing a strong religious foundation. Daily lessons in the Catholic faith create a
strong foundation for children. Graduates of Catholic high schools are statistically more
likely to continue church involvement as an adult.
8. UPHSD and the Perpetualite – To believes and invokes divine guidance in the
betterment of the quality of life through national development and transformation, which
are predicted upon the quality of education of its people.
Conclusion
Being UPHSD students develop effective skills of analysis, strategic thinking,
communication, and techniques on managing different personalities, crucial tools for a
successful career. We continuously improve our programs to promote peer learning,
individual academic advising, networking opportunities, and fun college events
