AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT LICENSE (Aeroplane/Helicopter) : ISSUE

A) Requirements:-
1. Age not less than 21 years
2. Educational Qualification-HSC (Science) with Physics and Mathematics or
Equivalent
3. Medical fitness (Class-I)
4. ATPL Theory examinations (9 subjects)
6. Type Technical examinations (if applicable)
7. Flying Experience as mentioned below in section-(C)
8. Skil test/Flight test
9. Aviation English Language Proficiency (Minimum Level 4 or higher)-(if applicable) ;

B) Supportive documents to be submitted:-


1. Duly filled up CA forms-26 (I) or 30 (I) fo ANO (OPS) A-5
2. Documents and checks/evaluation reports including as mention in the item-(A)
3. Conversion Simulator Training report on specific type
4. Base Check/ZFTT report
5. Route Training reports on specific type
6. Route Check report
7. FOI monitor report
8. P1-U/S flying records as applicable of ANO (OPS) A3 and ANO (OPS) A-4
9. Flying Logbook
10. Flying Experience Documents and NOC from Military (if applicable)
11. SEEP Certificate
12. CRM Certificate
13. Two passport size and two stamp size photographs with white background
14. Bio-data
15. National ID Card/ Birth Certificate/Passport (Photocopy)
16. Security Clearance (if applicable)
17. Letter from an Operator/Organaigation including all documents mentionted in the (A),
(B) and necessary fees as mentioned in section-(D) ;

C) Flying experience:-

1. Aeroplane Category:

(i) 1500 hours of flight time


(ii) 250 hrs as PIC;

(iii) 100 hrs Night flying as PIC or Co-Pilot;

(iv) 200 hours of cross-country flight time as pilot-in-command including a cross


country flight totaling not less than 540 km (300 NM);

(v) 75 hours Instrument

For details please refer Rule-26(3) of CAR’84 and Section-10.1 (b) (c) & (d) of
ANO (OPS) A-5.

2. Helicopter Category:
(i) 1000 hours of flight time
(ii) 250 hrs as PIC;

(iii) 50 hrs Night flying as PIC or Co-Pilot;

(iv) 200 hours of cross-country flight time as pilot-in-command including a cross


country flight totaling not less than 540 km (300 NM);

(v) 30 hours Instrument

D) Relevant Fees:
1. For ATPL Issue 15000/-
For endorsement (each large aircraft) 5000/-
Oral test 1000/-
Grand total (during issuance of license) 21,000/-

2. AELP Test 2000/-


3. Medical Certificate 1000/-
4. Theoretical Exam (each subject) 1500/-

NB-
(i) In addition to the above, any other charges relate to the medical examination shall be
paid to the hospital/diagnostic centre.
(ii) Candidates, who have military experience, need to pay amount of Tk.2500/- for each
theoretical subjects. Before proceeding for medical, ground and flying training,
candidate need to apply for permission according to the ANO (OPS) A-4.

E) Procedure:-
1. Visit the Personnel Licensing Section with the originaldocuments and make the relevant
payment to commence the process of evaluation of the application.
2. Fees should be deposited to Finance Department of CAAB and the Chalan/Money receipt
has to be enclosed with the license application.
3. The requirements and necessary forms for issuance of Airline Transport
Pilot Licences have been published in ANO (OPS) A-5 which is available in the CAAB
website.
4. Necessary fees will be applicable for Medical examination, AELP Test, Aircraft Rating
and theoritical examination
5. For Medical Examination, applicants are to be contact with Medical Assessor at
Headquarters of CAAB.
6. AELP Test is held on CAAB HQ.
7. CAAB conducts ATPL Exam through CBE (Computer Based Examination) system at
Headquarters. For examination registration, applicants may visit ASRTM in CAAB
website (www.caab.gov.bd-ASRTM-Computer Based Examination for Personnel
Licensing-Registration).

AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT LICENSE (Aeroplane/Helicopter) : CURRENCY


A) Requirements:-
1. Valid Medical Certificate (Class I)
2. Refresher Course by operator/organization
3. Experience as mentioned below in section-(C)
4. AELP Level (Minimum Level 4) ; and

additional experience rquired for Scheduled Air Transport Aircrew as follows :


(i) Type Technical Refresher Training as per company policy (CAAB approved)
(ii) CRM Course as per company policy (CAAB approved)
(iii) SEEP Course as per company policy (CAAB approved)
(iv) CFIT refresher as per company policy. (CAAB approved)

B) Supportive documents to be submitted:-


1. Duly filled up CA form-26(R) or 30(R) of ANO (OPS) A-5
2. Ground Course certificate
3. Documents and check/evaluation reports as mention in the item-(A)
4. Flying Logbook
5. Letter from an Organization/Operator including all documents mentionted in the (A),
(B) and necessary fees as mentioned in section-(D);

C) Experience:-
1. Aeroplane:
(i) PPC
(ii) As per ANO (OPS) A-2

2. Helicopter :

(i) 6 hours of flight time with 6 take-offs & 6 landings during the last 12 months.
(ii) For currency of Night Rating a Minimum 3 take offs & 3 landing
during night within 12 months from the date of application provided that 1 night take-
off and 1 night landing within 90 days from the date of application.
(iii) PPC / Satisfactory flight test.
(iv) As per ANO (OPS) A-2

D) Procedure:-
1. Visit the Personnel Licensing Section with the original documents and make the relevant
payment to commence the process of evaluation of the application.
2. For Medical Examination, applicants are to be contact with Medical Assessor at
Headquarters of CAAB.
3. Necessary fees will be applicable for Medical examination, AELP Test, Aircraft Rating
and theoritical examination
4. AELP Test is held on CAAB HQ.
