10. Diagnostics Chart with Trouble Code

S: DTC P0170 — FUEL TRIM MALFUNCTION —


쐌 DTC DETECTING CONDITION:
쐌 Two consecutive driving cycles with fault
쐌 TROUBLE SYMPTOM:
쐌 Erroneous idling
쐌 Engine stalls.
쐌 Poor driving performance
CAUTION:
After repair or replacement of faulty parts, conduct CLEAR MEMORY MODE <Ref. to 2-7 [T3D0].>
and INSPECTION MODE <Ref. to 2-7 [T3E0].>.

10S1 : CHECK EXHAUST SYSTEM. (2) Start the engine and run it until it stalls.
(3) After the engine stalls, crank it for five more

1) Release fuel pressure.
(1) Disconnect connector from fuel pump relay.
