Text
One important aspect of being a good citizen is to help people. Helping others is not only good for them and
a great thing to do, but it also makes us happier too. Giving also connects us to others, creating stronger
communities and helping to build a happier society for everyone.
It's not just about money , we can also give our time, ideas and energy. So you don't need to be rich. Helping
the others can be as simple as a single kind word, smile or a gesture. It can include giving time, care, thought or
attention. Sometimes these mean more than financial gifts.
. The people we help may be strangers, family, friends, colleagues or neighbours. They can be old or young,
nearby or far away. They may be poor, jobless, homeless, orphans or widows .In addition, giving is not only for
people ; it can be for hospitals, schools, or local charity associations, and even international ones.
Doing things for others is a powerful way to increase our own happiness as well of those around us.
So if you want to feel good, do good! www.actionforhappiness.org
