This session is designed to enhance the knowledge, and skills in table skirting style
especially in Box Pleat and Single Pleat Candle Design.
Learning Objectives:
After reading this module, you should be able to:
1. Identify the different styles of table skirting
2. Follow the steps in box pleat and single pleat candle design table skirting
style; and
3. Perform on how to do table skirting in box pleat and single pleat candle
design.
WHAT I KNOW?
Direction: True or False. Write True if the statement is correct and False if it is

1. Table skirts are a great way to conceal table legs, and they also allow you to hide
things under the table for a cleaner look.
2. Table skirting offers a simple way to elevate the table’s looks.

every time you attend an event? Explain how important it is.
WHAT IS IT?
Table skirting is a type of decorative folding done with a cloth or paper
coverings for the table edges used to hide unsightly legs or make the table seem more
decorative.
WHAT IS MORE?
Table skirting is used to decorate tables to be used in different kinds of
occasions for elegance, and to cover the actual table.
Table skirting comes in many sizes to fit rectangular, square and round tables;
some table skirts are intended to cover only three sides of a square or rectangular table,
while others are made to cover all four sides. The standard length is 29 inches.

Steps:
1. Cover the top of the table with tablecloth
2. Put thumbtack on each corner and middle of the table
3. Do a single pleats, pleat size and space size: 5 inch
4. Pin both side of single pleat to turn in into a box pleat

Single Pleat Candle
Steps:
3. First create 3 single pleat with at least 3 inches
4. Then create another single pleat with 2.5 inches, and do it until it reaches
the last.
5. Lastly, at the center of the pleat, fold it to create a design.

Table skirting not only aids in highlighting and improving your table
setting's design, but it also contributes to a more casual and pleasant
dining experience.
