    Subject: - Guidelines for running B.E/B.Tech Program for Working Professionals in AICTE
    Approved I nstitutions.

    Madam/Sir,

    to run B.E/B.Tech Program/Courses from the A/y


    AICTE Approved lnstitutes are eligible
    2023-24 for working Professionals ONLY in the approved disciplines/courses having NBA
    Accred itation.

    As per the Provisions of the Public Notice issued by AICTE vide No.
    AICTE/RB/Academic/2023-24 dated 24th July, 2023. The following guidelines are applicable
    to run the courses for Working Professionals: -

    0L Courses & lntake


    t. Permitted Courses AICTE Approved Courses with NBA Accreditation.
    ii. Number of Courses Maximum Three Courses per lnstitute
    iii. Permitted lntake per Course 30(Over and above the sanctioned intake)
    tv. Minimum Admission Required to Run 1,/3 of the Approved lntake in each course

    02. Eligibility for Admission
    I Professionals working in Registered lndustry / Organization / State) / Private/ Public
    (Centra I

    Limited Company/ MSMEs located within 50 Km radial distance from the tnstitute.
    il. Minimum of ONE Year Full time / Regular working Experience
    iii. Qualification Same as candidates eligible for Lateral Entry to Second Year (As Specified in
    Approval Process Handbook published by ATCTE from time to time)
    03. Duration of the Course
    i. Same as Lateral Entry to Second Year with a total course duration NOT less than THREE years,
    so as to fulfill the total contact hours as prescribed by the Affiliating University for
    completion of duration of the course.
    ii. iirings for conduct of classes normally shall be in the evening hours/any flexible convenient
    timings(including weekends/holidays) in alignment with timings of lndustry / Organization.
    il1. fVtode of Conduct of Classes shall be as applicable for Regular Programs as defined in the
    AICTE Public Notice Vide. No. AICTE/AB/Academicl}O2o-21, dated 13th August,202O

    i. TotalCredits as specified in the AICTE ModelCurriculum


    (or)
    Affiliating University are required to be earned for getting the Degree.
    lt. As per *te ATCTE Regulatlon up to 40% of credit transfer is permitted through MOOCs /
    SWAYAM.
    05. Faculty & Staff Requirement
    t. As per the prevailing AICTE Norms
    (or)
    Existing Faculty in the lnstitutelndustry Experts with requisite qualification as per AICTE
    /
    Norms are permitted with additional remuneration / honorarium as per the Affiliating
    University / State Government / lnstitute Norms.

    respect of working professionals, institute can devise transparent mechanism for short
    listing the eligible candidates in highly transparent manner based on Merit of the Qualifying
    Examination.

    08. State Government/ University Requirements
    Universities shall affiliate the Working Professionals admitted in AICTE Approved lnstitutes
    for B.E / BJech Courses under this Policy in regular mode.
    09. Other Requirements
    atCtf Rpproved lnstitutes shall fulfill any other requirements as specified / required which
    are notified from time to time.
