    SUBJECT : COUNCIL WIDE ADVANCEMENT CAMP for BOY SCOUTS

    1. We are pleased to announce the conduct of the Council wide Advancement Camp for BOY
    SCOUTS on January 26 – 28, 2024 at Sctr. Jaime B. Ching/BSPLC Camp, Brgy. Anibong,
    Pagsanjan, Laguna.

    2. This activity will feature the new advancement scheme for Boy Scouts (Scout Citizen
    Advancement Passport).

    3. Objectives:
    ➢ To prepare the Scouts to learn new knowledge & leadership skills;
    ➢ To be able to face the challenges in the future as responsible citizen;
    ➢ Gain a deeper understanding to the Aims and Methods of Scouting;
    ➢ Experience the rudiments of taking a Board of Review;

    4. Scouts who attended the Advancement for Boy Scouts last March 25 – 26, 2023 will attend the
    activity for the Scout Service Rank while new participants will attend the activity for the First
    Class Scout rank.

    5. Qualification for participation:


    a. SCOUTS
    ➢ Must be currently registered Boy Scouts;
    ➢ Must be grade IV – VI (9 – 12 years old)
    ➢ Must have parent’s permit
    ➢ Must be physically fit to undergo activities as certified by a licensed physician;

    b. TROOP LEADERS
    ➢ Must be currently registered as Troop Leader;
    ➢ Must be of good moral character;
    ➢ Must be physically fit as certified by a licensed physician;
    ➢ Must be a graduate of Basic Training Course;
    ➢ Must have his/her own camping gears and equipment.

    6. Activity Fee:
    ➢ A fee of Five Hundred Pesos (Php500.00) shall be charged each Scouts to
    cover cost of activity T-shirt, certificate of participation and other training and
    administrative expenses, which can be charged to MOOE and other local funds
    subject to usual budgeting and auditing rules and regulations.
    ➢ A fee of One Hundred Pesos (Php100.00) shall be charged each Scouters/Adult
    Leaders to cover certificate and other administrative expenses which can be
    charged to MOOE and other local funds subject to usual budgeting and auditing
    rules and regulations.

    7. Things to Bring:
    ➢ Contingents are required to submit/bring the following:
    ✓ BSP-LC Form 1B (Information Sheet/Parents Permit/Medical Certificate
    ✓ Set of Type A/B Scout uniform
    ✓ Casual /activity clothes
    ✓ Enough food provisions
    ✓ Cooking and eating gears.
    ✓ Utility rope, flashlight, storm lamp, tents
    ✓ Personal hygiene and first aid kit
    ✓ Other personal/optional things

    8. Reporting time: Participants must be at the venue on or before 9:00 o’clock in the morning
    of January 26, 2024.

    9. All Sponsoring Institutions (District and Schools) are encouraged to send as many
    qualified participants as they can and must submit the confirmed number of participants not
    later than January 20, 2024 to facilitate preparation of needed materials.
