A DETAILED LESSON PLAN

IN TEACHING SCIENCE 2

I. Objectives
At the end of 45 minutes, 85 % of the students are expected to;

a. identify the basic functions of Go Grow and Glow foods.


b. and give example of Go, Grow, Glow foods.
c. appreciate the importance of eating nutritious foods.

basic food groups there are the Go, Grow
and Flow foods.

food u are eating everyday are classified
into 3 groups?
Lets read and learn.

We need a balanced diet to


have a good health . A balanced diet consist
of 3 food groups - Go Grow and Glow foods-
eaten in the right amount with a glass pf
water pr a nutritious beverage like milk.

Go foods- give us energy so that we
can play work and move around. They
contain carbohydrates.

Imagine class that our body is like a car. A


car needs gas or fuel to work. In the same
way, our bodies need carbohydrates to
move without carbohydrates we will easily
get tired.
Here are some more examples of Go foods

Also camote has vitamins rice provides
energy and fiber also the pasta oatmeal
contain more minerals and vitamins.

That’s why class we should eat different


kinds of Go foods .

Now I’m gonna ask you class which one is


healthy to eat camote or junkfoods.

Next is Grow food- grow food has protein to vitamins than junkfoods
help our muscles grow healthy and bones
too, to make us strong. Protein also helps
in proper wound healing.

Here some examples of Grow foods,

vegetables and fruits that supply our body
with vitamins and minerals and help
maintain normal immunity so that we do not
get sick easily.

Also glow food can make our eyes brighter


and skin glowing and hair too.

vegetables, various colors and brightly are
full of vitamins and minerals to make us
glow.
