Adan Garza
Lesson Objectives or Success Criteria (Word these as student actions, use verbs.)
Lesson goal is for the students to be able to point out mistakes in the sentences and words presented
to them and be able to tell me how they are wrong and how to fix them.
CSTP Rationale (Describe the ways your lesson aligns with the six California Standards for the Teaching
Profession)
The lesson I am teaching follows the 6 standards because the lesson I am teaching is something that the
students are currently working on in their class and learning to do.
Lesson Plan Content (Written narrative paragraph about the lesson content.)
In the lesson I am teaching I have a piece of paper with sentences and words on it. The rest of the
students also have the same piece of paper that I have. First, I read the sentence or word, then I will
select a student that has raised their hand to be called on to answer. The student I choose will tell me
something that Is wrong with the sentence or word and tell me how to fix it. Finally, I will fix the
sentences or words and write them for everyone to see.
Instructional Procedures
• Focusing Event (Describe how you will get students to focus attention on your teaching.)
Asking the students to pay attention to the board and what I am asking them.
• Instructional Strategies (Click into that link for help describing all instructional methods you will employ
during the lesson. Remember, instructional strategies fall into one or more of the following broad
categories: DIRECT, INDIRECT, EXPERIENTIAL, INTERACTIVE, INDEPENDENT STUDY)
I will be using interactive instruction because I ask the students questions and they give me
answers to what I am asking.
• Student Participation (How will you engage students and get them on board to participate?)
By encouraging the students to raise their hand to answer even if their answer might be
wrong.
• Formative Check (How will you check that all students are involved and engaged in the lesson?
I will check be looking around the room for either raised hands or students actively discussing
their answers to each other.
• Closure (How will you end the lesson purposefully, with intentionality?)
I will end the lesson by congratulating the class on the work and participation.
• Assessment (How will you assess that students achieved the lesson goals or learning targets?)
By seeing if their answers they gave me we correct and how many students took part in the lesson.
