I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1. Complete the proof of theorem on chord perpendicular to a diameter (or radius)
2. Solve problems related to the theorem on chord perpendicular to a diameter (or radius)
3. Display appreciation of the theorem on diameter that is perpendicular to a chord by actively
participating in every activity where the concept of the theorem learned can be applied.
I. Preliminaries

Answers and drawing may vary)
-You all deserve a big round of applause -∠ LAP, arc LP; ∠ TOP, arc TP; ∠ MGC, arc CM
C. ABSTRACTION - In ∠ LAP, the center of the cirlce is in the interior
of the angle
-Our new lesson for today is all about inscribe In ∠ TOP, one side is the diameter of the circle
angles and intercepted arcs. In ∠ MGC, the center of the cirle is in the exterior
of the angle
-First, let’s define what is Inscribe Angle. An
inscribed angle is an angle whose vertex is on a circle
and whose sides contain chords of the circle. The arc
that lies in the interior of an inscribed angle and has
endpoints on the angle is called the intercepted arc of
the angle.
-Very Good!
- Yes, Ma’am
-Exactly!
- Answer
-lets proceed to the Theorems on Inscribed Angles
- Theorems on Inscribed Angles
1. If an angle is inscribed in a circle, then the measure of
the angle equals one-half the measure of its intercepted
arc (or the measure of the intercepted arc is twice the
measure of the inscribed angle).
2. If two inscribed angles of a circle (or congruent circles)
intercept congruent arcs or the same arc, then the angles
are congruent.
3. If an inscribed angle of a circle intercepts a semicircle,
then the angle is a right angle
4. If a quadrilateral is inscribed in a circle, then its opposite
angles are supplementary.
