Outcomes meaning of the poem.
They would be able to read the poem with proper tone and rhyming
scheme and develop an interest in poetry.
It is also advised that the students come to the class with proper
background knowledge of the topic under discussion. They can refer to
the resources stated above.

DAY PLAN
Anticipatory Set-
The facilitator will ask the learners a few basic questions to introduce
the topic
What are the common childhood fears?
What are the common pains and sufferings, old people undergo?
What sort of relationship do a mother and a daughter have?

Activity 1 : The facilitator will initiate/draw the student’s attention to the topic by asking questions
like :

Rapid fire questions will be asked to check the comprehension skills of the students and doubts
cleared.
Recap of the last day and other contextual questions will be done in the notebooks with the assistance
of the teacher.
The students will be explained the importance of family bond and strengthening of relationships.
Summarize and check for understanding.
Some questions will be asked based on the poem and doubts cleared.
Independent Practice
Based on the poem, describe the comparison between the poet’s mother and ‘the late winter’s moon’.
