I. Objectives: At the end of the class the students will be able to;
1. Identify the different skills, techniques and production of
contemporary art.
2. Appreciate the artistic skills and techniques in creating
artworks.
3. Create their own artwork using the different skills,
techniques and production of contemporary art.
B. Content Standard The learner demonstrates appreciation of contemporary art forms,
found in the various regions by understanding the elements and
principles.
C. Performance Standard The learner presents a form of integrated contemporary art based
on the region of his / her choice.
D. Essential Learning Skills A. Identifies various contemporary art forms and their practices
(MELC) from the various regions.
B. Classifies various art forms found in the Philippines.

The students will play WIKARAMBULAN. The teacher will
show the words on the screen. The students will read the words as
fast as they can to combine the words or they can use the
provided picture/s to form the word needed. The students who
can guess the correct answer will be given extra points.
C. Development CONTEMPORARY ART: CONCEPT MAP
The students will give words related to the word Contemporary
Art.

E. Assimilation LET’S CRITIQUE!
The teacher will show a picture on the screen. The students will
write 5 to 7 sentences to give their critique on the picture shown.
F. Valuing LET’S IMAGINE!
The students will be asked to imagine having an art exhibit that
will stage in a major mall in their place. They will be given guide
questions to create a concept of their art exhibit.
1. What artistic skill/s should I use?
2. What medium/s should I use?
3. What technique/s should I use?
4. How big or small is my exhibit? Should I display it inside
or outside the mall?
5. Should I open my art exhibit to public?
G. Evaluation MY OWN KIND OF ART
The students will be asked to create their own contemporary art.
They are allowed to choose their own kind of art based on the
skills, techniques and production in contemporary art discussed.
They will be the one to gather the materials needed for their own
art and the theme will be depending on their choice.

CRITERIA
Technique - 5 Points
Creativity - 5 Points
Cleanliness - 5 Points
TOTAL - 15 POINTS
