MARKET ANALYSIS

Target Market

Since Bohol is rural area with abundance of agriculture and livestock livelihood, the
Wild Eatery: Livestock Feeds ‘N Supplies focuses more of its target market to the
livestock farmer, Livestock producers, family-run backyards and local communities.

Small and big farmers represent a significant segment, characterized by their need for
cost-effective yet high-quality feeds and supplies. Tailoring product offerings to meet
their varying scale of operations and crop or livestock types can enhance market
penetration and customer satisfaction. Additionally, implementing strategies such as
bulk pricing or loyalty programs can incentivize repeat purchases and foster long-term
relationships with these customers.

Livestock producers constitute another key segment, requiring specialized feeds to

optimize the health and productivity of their animals. By offering a range of feeds
tailored to different livestock species and production goals, your business can cater to
the specific needs of this customer group. Moreover, providing value-added services
such as nutritional consultation or on-farm delivery can differentiate your brand and
enhance customer loyalty within this segment.

Family-owned small backyard farms represent a niche market segment with distinct
preferences for natural and sustainable products. Understanding their desire for
environmentally friendly options and chemical-free feeds can guide product
development and marketing strategies. Emphasizing the health benefits of your feeds
for both animals and consumers, as well as highlighting your commitment to
sustainable agricultural practices, can resonate strongly with this customer group and
drive sales.

7
Local communities, including urban and rural areas, present an opportunity to tap into
grassroots demand for agricultural supplies and feeds. Engaging with community
organizations, participating in local events, and offering educational workshops can help
raise awareness of your brand and establish strong connections within these markets.
By positioning your business as a trusted resource for all things agriculture-related, you

FINANCIALPLAN

Start-up Funding

The Wild Eatery is launching with ₱2,000,000.00 in start-up funding. This is comprised
of ₱1,000,000.00 from my personal savings, reflecting my strong belief in this venture,
and a ₱1,000,000.00 business loan secured from the Land Bank of the Philippines. This
financial infusion will be strategically allocated to establish a strong foundation for the
business:

 Inventory Acquisition: A significant portion of the funds will be used to

procure a diverse and comprehensive inventory of high-quality livestock feeds,
agricultural supplies, seeds, tools, and equipment. This ensures we can meet the
varied needs of our Boholano farmers from day one.
 Store Setup and Furnishings: A portion will be invested in transforming our
Poblacion, Talibon location into a welcoming and functional space for customers.
This includes shelving, display units, storage solutions, and a comfortable
consultation area.
 Delivery Vehicle: Recognizing the importance of reliable delivery services, a
portion of the funds will be dedicated to acquiring a suitable vehicle for
transporting products to our customers' farms.
 Marketing and Promotion: To create awareness and attract customers, we
will invest in initial marketing efforts, including signage, flyers, social media
presence, and potentially local advertising.
 Working Capital: A portion will be reserved as working capital to cover
operational expenses such as rent, utilities, salaries, and unforeseen costs during
the initial phase of the business.
 Licenses and Permits: The necessary licenses and permits required to operate
legally in Poblacion, Talibon will be secured using a portion of the funds.

20
This combined funding strategy, utilizing a blend of personal investment and a bank
loan, allows The Wild Eatery to launch with confidence, ensuring we have the resources
to meet the needs of our customers, build strong relationships within the community,
and contribute to the growth of Bohol's agricultural sector.
