Complete Blood Count (CBC),Haemogram - 3PART
Test Name Result Unit Biological Reference Interval
Platelet Morphology Adequate On Smear
RBC Morphology Normochromic,Normocytic
WBC Morphology Normal
Note Kindly Correlate Clinically

Clinical Significance:

A complete blood count (CBC) examines the different types of cells present in the bloodstream, including red blood cells, white blood cells,
and platelets, to assess an individual's overall health. This test is beneficial for patients experiencing fatigue, as well as for screening for
anemia or identifying infections in individuals with fever.

CBC serves as a fundamental assessment of bone marrow and spleen function, aids in the diagnosis of blood cancers, and is used to monitor
blood-related disorders, chemotherapy treatments, and other medications.

Glucose - Fasting
Test Name Result Unit Biological Reference Interval
Fasting Blood Sugar 97.0 mg/dL 70 - 110
Method : Glucose Oxidase Peroxidase (GOD/POD)

CINICAL SIGNIFICANCE :
Fasting blood sugar is a simple, common blood test to diagnose prediabetes, diabetes or gestational diabetes. An individual may
show higher fasting glucose level in comparison to post prandial glucose level due to following reasons : The glycaemic index and
response to food consumed, Changes in body composition, Increased insulin response and sensitivity, Alimentary hypoglycemia,
Renal glycosuria, Effect of oral hypoglycaemics & Insulin treatment.

Note :
1. Before the test, you shouldn't have anything to eat or drink (except water) for 8 to 12 hours.
2. Depending on your treatment plan, you may check and record your blood sugar as many as four times a day or more often if you're taking
insulin. Careful monitoring is the only way to make sure that your blood sugar level remains within your target range.

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
Test Name Result Unit Biological Reference Interval
TSH 3.39 ulU/ml 0.38 - 5.33
CLIA

Interpretation :

·Increased TSH is seen with intake of Iodine, Lithium, Amiodarone drugs and also indicates considerable physiologic & seasonal
variation.
·Decreased TSH values require correlation with patient age & clinical symptoms and seen with intake of few drugs e.g. L- dopa,
glucocorticoids.
· Transient alteration in TSH is seen in non-thyroidal illness like severe infections, liver disease, renal and heart failure, severe burns,
trauma and surgery etc.

Clinical Utility: Levels of TSH are used for monitoring of thyroid related disorders.

Note :

1.TSH levels are subject to circadian variation, reaching peak levels between 2 - 4.a.m. and at a minimum between 6-10 pm . The
variation is of the order of 50% , hence time of the day has influence on the measured serum TSH concentrations .
2.TSH levels may fluctuate based on few factors such as pregnancy, illness and age. Also, time of sample collection, technologies
used to analyze the test, usage of certain drugs, diet may have impact on TSH levels.
