There are six main branches of the Atharva Veda.

In the past Lord Svayambhuva Mahārāja described these rituals to his

son in the Atharva Veda. 1॥

O beautiful lady, there are many secret Upaniṣads among these Vedic
literatures.
Now hear from me the names of the branches of the tree, beginning
with Vāratantavī. 2॥

The second was Maunjayani, and the third was Tarnabaindavī.

The fourth is called Śaunakī, and the fifth is called Paippalādika. 3॥

The sixth is the Saumantavi, and these are the most important of the
essences.
The Guhya Upaniṣads are firmly established in all six branches of the
Vedas. 4॥

I’ve put them all together and put them all in this one.
O most beautiful lady, this is the saṁhitā for the liberation of the
seekers. 5॥

I’m telling you about those things that the gods are meditating on as
I’ve been told.
That meditation on the Supreme Personality of Godhead destroys all
great sins. 6॥

The ego is the greatest element outside the universe and above it.
There are five forms of the subtle elements, and the soul is the nine
modes of material nature. 7॥
She remembers her victory, hanging at the end of the great
underworld.
One should meditate on the skull as half of the universe. 8॥

The world of the gods and the forehead are twenty-two million yojanas
in length.
Meru is a mountain with a blazing staff and is crowded with planetary
gems. 9. 9॥

The inner street is called Nagaveethi, where the eyebrows are raised.
The planets known as Śivaloka and Vaikuṇṭhaloka are considered to
be the two ears. 10॥

One should meditate on the red tilaka, the nose and the Mandakini.
The eyes are the moon and the sun, and the eyelids are the rays. 11.
11.

The cheeks were placed in the world of austerity and the world of
truth, in order.
The two planets known as Janoloka and Maharloka are also described
as Kapola. 12. 12.

Let the two months of the Himālaya Mountains be in the darkness of

the goddess Kṛṇḍala.
The heavenly planets and the earthly planets are considered to be the
lips of the goddess Durgā. 13. 13.

Then there is the Radavali, the worlds of the rulers of the directions
and the planets.
Among the Gandharvas, Siddhas, Sādhyas, Pitṛs, Kinnaras and
Rākṣasas 14॥
They also worshiped the ghosts, yakshas, apsaras and mariciyas.
The Vidyādharas drank hot oil and drank only the moon. 15. 15.

The worlds of the seven sages, Dhruva Mahārāja, are also known as
ūrdhvaradavali.
The face of the earth is to be understood as the heavenly planets, and
the chin is to be understood as the chin. 16. 16.

The Brahmaloka is said to be the throat, and the wind is the life-force.
Plants and herbs are called hairs. 17. 17.

The sight of lightning is called the day and night, and the moments are
called the moments.
The universe is said to be the heart, and the earth is said to be the
foot. 18. 18॥

They are called Tala, Talatala, Patala and Sutala.

The bottom of the ocean is described as the world of serpents and the
toes of the feet of the Lord. 19. 19.

The Vedas are considered to be immeasurable rivers flowing from the

Vedas.
The kalpas, kāṣṭhas, muhūrtas, seasons and ayana are also
mentioned. 20. 20॥

The wings, the months, the years and the four ages, dear one, are
also the same.
The cuffs and beads were tied to the thighs and waist. 21. 21.

The feet and the sphincter are all parts of the body.
The three tongues are called Vaisvānara, Kāla and Mṛtyu. 22॥
They call her body up to the pillar of Abrahma.
Annihilation in food, time, satisfaction, and therefore the nose. 23. 23.

It is to be understood that the lateral revolution originated at the end of

the great kalpa
I have briefly described your meditation on the form of the Supreme
Personality of Godhead. 24. 24.

The knowledge of her nature is described by Saparya.

O Parvatī, please understand this very thing as described in the Vedic
literature. 25. 25.

Just as the spider’s navel creates and swallows threads.

Just as herbs grow and swallow on the earth, 26. 26.

From a man, hair grows and even falls out.

They arise and dissolve in the same way in that universe. 27॥

There are billions of sparks like flaming fire.

O dear one, the universe is destroyed when it comes out. 28॥

The Ṛg Veda, Yajur Veda, Sāma Veda, initiation, sacrifice and alms
are all performed.
The adhvaryu and the performer of the sacrifice are the fourteen
worlds. 29. 29.

Because the demigods, such as Brahmā and Viṣṇu, are human

beings and animals.
The life air and the oats are truth, faith, ritual and austerity. 30. 30.

The seas, mountains and rivers are all moving and nonmoving things.
At the beginning of creation, You released these things, and then You
revealed them. 31॥

He creates moving objects and enters the blindness of the

counterpart.
The city had nine gates, windows, eyes and the senses. 32॥

She sees, carries, touches, plays and wants to.

The living entity hears, smells, enjoys and ceases to exist. 33॥

That city liberated by that woman is called Matāma. 34॥

Those whose faults have been destroyed by austerities do not see the
Supreme Being
The great souls meditated upon the effulgent form of the Lord within
their bodies. 35॥

That which is great is divine and inconceivable, and that which is

subtle appears subtler than that.
There is something in this world far away, far away, and one should
see it hidden in a cave. 36. 36.

She is not perceived by the eyes, nor by speech, nor by any other
means of yoga, nor by any action.
By the grace of knowledge the pure being then sees her as pure and
immaculate. 37. 37.

Just as rivers flow into the ocean, leaving the setting sun in its name
and form.
Thus a learned person, freed from the name and form, attains the
Supreme Being, the Supreme Mother of the universe. 38॥
All the Vedas call Him the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and all
the austerities describe Him.
I shall now explain to you in brief the steps of celibacy for those who
desire it. 39. 39.

That’s what it is.

This is the best reliance, and this is the ultimate reliance.
Knowing this to be dependent on the Supreme Personality of
Godhead, one attains to the planet of Brahmā. 40. 40॥

The senses are beyond the senses and the mind is beyond the
senses.
The mind is the supreme intelligence, and the intelligence is the
supreme self. 41॥

The Supreme Being is beyond the great, the supremely manifest, the
unmanifest.
That goddess, who is superior to the Puruṣa, is the wood, and that is
the supreme destination. 42॥

Just as water is created on a mountain and flows into the oceans.

Thus one sees the religious principles separately and follows them.
43॥

There is one mysterious soul within all beings who manifests one form
in many ways.
Those who are steadfast in seeing her in their own self attain eternal
happiness and not others. 44॥

The sun does not shine there, nor do the moon and stars, nor do
these lightnings, where is this fire?
Everything appears to be the effulgent form of the Supreme
Personality of Godhead. 45॥

There is nothing beyond her and nothing greater than her.

Like a stunned tree in the sky, she stands alone, knowing that she is
full within herself. 46॥

She is the cave of all beings, with all faces, heads and necks.
The goddess is everywhere, and therefore she is everywhere. 47॥

The ends of the hands and feet are all around, and the eyes, head
and face are all around.
This universe is heard everywhere and pervades everything. 48॥

She reflects the modes of nature of all the senses and is devoid of all
senses.
He is the Lord of all, the Lord of all, the shelter and friend of all. 49॥

The goddess Swan played outside the nine-gated city.

It is the meditation of everyone in the world, moving and nonmoving.
50. 50.

The mother without hands and feet is the receiver, the eyes see, the
ears hear.
She knows what is not knowable but those who know her are called
the foremost, the greatest, the greatest. 51॥

That is the fire that is the sun that is the wind that is the moon
That is the parrot, that is the Brahman, that is the bow, that is the
Creator.
That is the woman that is the man that is the boy and that is the girl
52॥
The Ṛg Veda is the syllable in the supreme sky, in which the
demigods, the Adhirudras, reside.
What can a person who does not know the Ṛg Veda do? 53॥

The Vedas describe the Vedas, the sacrifices, the sacrifices, the vows,
the bhṛta and the bhavya.
The goddess of fortune creates everything in this universe, and no
one else is confined by her illusory energy. 54॥

One should know that the illusory energy is nature, and that the
master of that nature is the goddess Maheśvarī.
The entire universe is pervaded by the subtle elements of this body.
55॥

She is the origin and origin of the demigods, the master of the
universe, and is hidden in all living beings.
She gave birth to Hiraṇyagarbha in the past, so that she might unite
us with her auspicious intelligence. 56॥

The subtle and very subtle form of the universe is situated in the midst
of the waters, and it is called the many forests.
One who understands that the Supreme Personality of Godhead
surrounds the entire universe attains ultimate peace in the mysterious
world. 57॥

She is the protector of the universe in time, the master of the universe,
and she is hidden in all living beings.
When the great sages and demigods recognize that Yamarāja is
liberated, they cut off the ropes of death. 58॥
Knowing that Kālī is hidden in all living beings, she is as subtle as a
pot beyond ghee.
At the end of the millennium one who knows that she is the destroyer
of all mysteries is freed from all sins. 59॥

This goddess is the mother of the universe and is the great soul, and
she is always present in the hearts of people.
The heart is the intelligence of the mind, and those who know it are
certainly immortal. 60॥

When there is no darkness, there is no day, no night, and there is

nothing that is not true.
That syllable is the best of the suns and that supreme intelligence is
extended to her. 61॥

He did not hold her up, nor across, nor in the middle.
She did not have a great reputation for her images. 62॥

No one can see her form in the presence of her eyes

The heart is the intelligence of the mind, and those who know it are
certainly immortal. 63॥

After creating the demigods again, the goddess Bhavānī rules over
them all.
The goddess of fortune illuminates all directions, upwards, downwards
and obliquely. 64॥

This is neither a woman nor a man nor is this a man

Whatever the body takes away from the body is engaged in that body.
65॥
Knowing that Bhageśī, who carries religious principles and relieves
sins, is the immortal mother of the universe, who is situated in Himself.
She is the supreme goddess of the gods and the supreme goddess of
the gods.
She is the supreme husband of husbands, and she is the secret of all
knowledge. 66॥

She has nothing to do and nothing to do with her, and she doesn’t
seem to be equal to or greater than her.
The power of the Supreme Being is heard to be manifold, natural,
knowledgeable and powerful. 67॥

She has no husband in this world, no cheshita, no gender.

She is the cause of the causes and the master of the causes, and no
one is born of her, nor is she the master. 68॥

The one goddess, who is hidden in all beings, pervades this universe
and is situated within all beings.
She is the presiding deity of all material activities and is the abode of
all living entities. 69॥

Vaśinī is one of the many Niṣkiyas who produces one seed in many
ways.
The goddess of fortune assumes ten faces in various forms, and she
carries various forms and arms. 70॥

The constant consciousness of the constants, one of the many

consciousnesses, sets out the desires.
Knowing that the cause of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is
attainable by the practice of Sāṅkhya-yoga, one is freed from all
bondage to the goddess of fortune. 71॥
She is the one who engages Lord Viṣṇu in her protection, and Lord
Rudra in her protection.
Seeking liberation, I take shelter of that goddess, who illuminates my
own intelligence. 72॥

She is pure, inactive, peaceful, flawless and free from colour.

I take shelter of one secret goddess who has many faces. 73॥

This is a well-established secret Upaniṣad, whose deity is Brahmā, the

source of the universe.
As I chanted this mantra with devotion, I became truly truthful and
immortal. 74॥

The mystery of the Vedas and Vedanta was inspired in the ancient
times.
It should not be given to an unsettled person nor to a disciple 75॥

One who has supreme devotion to the goddess of fortune is as

devoted to the goddess as to the spiritual master.
These are the meanings described by the great soul 76॥

Mahakal said -
This is the secret Upanishad, and it is always more secret than the
secret.
I have united the four Vedic knowledge and arranged it here. 77॥

She was instructed in the beginning of creation by all the inhabitants

of the heavens.
I have described the meditation of this kind and its form. 78॥

Now hear the ritualistic ceremonies performed by the demigods.

The first is that I am that, and the second is that I am that. 79॥
That’s what I’m going to do and the third thing is going to be three
great phrases.
These first and foremost phrases are called chandas. 80॥

The deity is Guhya Kālī, and the modes of passion, goodness and
darkness are the modes of nature.
The seed of all these is the oṁkāra, and the swan is the power. 81॥

The keys are the mkara, the apyakara and the hyukara.
With these three phrases all action is encompassed in accordance
with the prescribed method. 82॥

The chanting of the mantra immediately is described as the

determination.
For those who worship the second, I have described the process of
worship. 83॥

Anyone who is thus distressed and who is devoted to the Supreme

Personality of Godhead
Freed from all sins, he attains liberation.
What is the use of all his perfections, O lotus-faced one? 84॥
