FoamStar® ED 2526
(old : Efka® 2526)

general defoamer

FoamStar® ED 2526 can be used as a defoamer in various water-


based coating systems. It functions well during the application of paints
and lacquers and also prevents the entrapment of air during processing
steps such as stirring, pumping etc.

shelf life The product should be protected from frost and stored in a cool dry
place (0 – 45 °C [32 – 113 °F]). When kept in original unopened con-
tainers, it will keep up to 2 years.

Application

FoamStar® ED 2526 was developed for water-based industrial


coatings. It is recommended for use in coatings based on alkyd resin
solutions and alkyd resin emulsions.

recommended concentrations 0.1–1.0% on total formulation

FoamStar® ED 2526 can be added prior to processing. If added to the


finished product, care should be taken to ensure uniform dispersion.
Cratering may occur when insufficiently stirred.
