4. Procedures
4.1 Introductory
Activity Review the previews lesson regarding biases and let the class enumerate all the other souces of
5 minutes bias.

4.2 Activity
GQ: Show some pictures on some product adds(see Appendix A). What do all these pictures
have in common? Are they appealing to you? What do they tell you?What kind of expressions are
5 minutes being used? Are they persuading?

4.3 Analysis
Give cut out definition to some students and let them paste the definition correctly beside the
10 minutes word it describes on the board. Let them correct their answer as you go along the discussion.

4.4 Abstraction There are Propaganda techniques that can be used to make your message more persuasive
especially in marketing: glittering generalities, name calling, testimonial, transfer, plain folks,
10 minutes bandwagon, card-stacking.
4.5 Application
Group Activity: Quiz Bowl
Exercise 1. I dentify the propaganda technique based on the definition
10 minutes Exercise 2. Identifying Propaganda Techniques: Identify the correct type of propaganda featured
in each statement or advertisement.

4.6 Assessment

Group the class into four groups. Each group will be given 5
minutes to create its own advertisement or recreate some product
advertisement featuring one or more propaganda techniques.
Present it in the class afterwards. Criteria:
Performance Task Mastery- 15 %
10 minutes Speech Delivery- 20 %
Stage presence- 10 %
Audience Impact- 5 %
Total = 50%

4.7 Assignment

Cut out from newspaper or magazine or any source sample of


product advertisement. Please bring art materials for the output
5 minutes making for tomorrow.
