It is like a crossword puzzle with a twist. It comes with a


description in which you need to search for the correct
word to it.

Scavenger Hunt
In this activity, you have to form a group with five members.
You must answer five questions to find the mystery word. Use
a search engine to answer the questions. Divide the items
among the members of the group. Fill out the crossword
puzzle. Take the letters in the red boxes and arrange them to
find the mystery word. You should be able to do this activity
within 10 minutes. The group who says the mystery word first
wins the game.

Wrap Up
Team refers to a group of people with the same set of goals,
and it can be divided into sub-teams.

Team structure is a manner of dividing the tasks into


subgroups to accomplish tasks on time.

There are several characteristics of a team that are mentioned


in this lesson. These are common values, mutual trust,
collaboration, supplementary skills, and good
communication.

Four basic types of team structure are also mentioned in this


lesson: Project Team, Production Team, Technical Team,
and Quality Control Team.

Wrap Up
According to Paul Merchant’s article entitled “What are the
nine types of team roles?”, there are nine (9) types of team
roles that are categorized into three: action-oriented roles,
people-oriented roles, and thought-oriented roles.

Action-oriented roles consist of three sub-roles, namely:


shaper, implementer, and completer/finisher.

People-oriented roles consist of three-sub-roles, namely:


coordinator, team worker, and research investigator.

Thought-oriented roles consist of three sub-roles, namely:


monitor-evaluator, specialist, and plants.
