Unit 1 : Report on study of Krishi Vigyan Kendra
(KVK)
History of KVK
Shabari krishi pratishtan is the host institute of krishi vigyan kendra , solapur
Former chairmen late.Krishibhushan Shri. Jyotiram Gaikwad established SKP in
1993 at solapur
Besides , the work of agriculture development , pratishtan also work for
technical and social upliftment of the farming community.

Mandates of KVK
To impart training to the practicing farmers , rural youth and field level
extension functionaries by method of “Teaching by doing” and “learning by doing”
To conduct on farm testing (OFT) for identifying technology in terms of location
sustainabale land use system .
