Terrible Experience with Fox Rent A Car Be careful when signing any paperwork, as they will tell you it's just a deposit and won't charge you. But in my experience, that's just part of their scam. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I rented a car for one day for $70. They asked me to pay a deposit of $100 for Gas and Toll Expenses, I told them, I will fill the tank when i return my car and i will pay my toll expenses, they promised me it is just a

deposit, they won't charge anything in my credit card. we won't charge you unless if there is any toll expenses that i did not pay. and they told me to sign the paper work, so i signed it. i paid my toll $7 from my pocket and i filled the tank, but still they charge me $100. It is a Bait. they gives a cheap price to get the. customer and they charge you a huge amount. totally i paid $170 for renting a car for 1 day . Never go back to this fraud compnay. Please refuse to sign any paper work that they are showing you. they will say it is just a deposit and we will not charge you and that's how they cheat.

Worst scam ever. Rented our car thru priceline and was charged for extra insurance after it was declined but since my husband questioned it and was told it was a deposit we were stuck paying it because they had his signature. Just be aware when they grab the credit card

screen and start scrolling thru it for you. Check the BBB before you rent from them as it is a common practice. Terrible company

I've never been to a car rental place that charges a $500 deposit. The staff is very nice but charging a $500 deposit is excessive. And this was not with a debt card it was with a Visa. The large deposit even raised a red flag with my credit

card company due to the excessive deposit.

Rented a car from here twice from this location and once in Colorado both times I rented a car at this location I was I was charged for my rental car and then the $150 fees and they then said they would need a $150 deposit and that if no

damages and the tank was full that I would get it back and yet I even vacuumed the car before dropping it off and I still never got my deposit back. I then called the costumer service and the lady wouldn't help me just kept repeating herself louder and louder as if I was a child and didn't hear her the first 5 times. I will not be bringing my business back to this location or any other fox and I hope for others sake they go somewhere else as well and save themselves a headache and money!!!!!!!!!!!

Unclear rental terms when booking online and refusal to help on day of rental. Booked through Expedia and lost my rental because Fox wouldn't take my debit card. Avoid this company at all costs and use a more reputable company that's actually been around for a while.

Fox Car Rental in Miami is a total scam!!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. My reservation was under my name "Tim", my license has my full name of "Timothy" and because of this the agent behind the counter said they couldn't rent to me because the names didn't match.

My assumption was that they rented the car I had reservations for!! It's now 11pm, the location looked like a war zone and my wife and I were stuck with no option other than a $200 uber ride to our hotel. When we walked out we were approached by a Fox employee and he told us that "his buddy" could rent us a car, but it would cost $1000. Total f'ing scam.

BEWARE of this company. I booked them with credit card points and it was paid in full with a confirmation. I arrive at night and they tell me that no payment was received and in order for me to have my car I have to pay AGAIN. They give me

a managers email who never replies to me (still waiting and it's been over 10 days) Still fighting to get my money back a week later with them. The shuttle from airport took almost an hour to pick us up too. DO NOT BOOK. NO MATTER WHAT THE DEAL ITS NOT WORTH IT.

A total scam and liars. I reserved a car from Fox through Expedia using a Visa debit card. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was told that I could not use a debit card to rent the vehicle. I then provided a non-debit credit card with the

same name and was told, "no, it has to be this card," meaning the card on the reservation. Then the agent, I believe it was Pamela (mentioned on other reviews), tried to get me to rent using another service, Car Rental Cafe, for $300 more than I had already paid. I refused and asked for a refund but she told me since I rented the car through Expedia, that I would have to go to them for a refund, and she would put a note so that I could get refunded. After leaving I immediately got on Expedia's virtual agent chat and asked for a refund. The Expedia agent tried to contact Fox but was unable to, and asked me to wait 24-72 hours for a follow up. I waited for a few days and then finally got a response from Expedia saying my refund was denied because Fox told them I had no credit card. I'm filing a dispute with Expedia again and in my research the Fox reservation page clearly states a different card can be used than the one to make the reservation, as long as the card holder name matches, which it did. "To pick up the vehicle, you must present your driving license and a major credit card in the name of the main driver on the reservation. The credit card used may differ from the original credit card used to book the reservation. The cardholder must be present and the name on the card must match the name on the driver's license or your reservation could be delayed or canceled." Hopefully they don't deny my refund claim this time but otherwise I will have to do a charge back on my card for the $400 I paid for no car at all. It's better to just stay away all together from such an untrustworthy company and save yourself any trouble.

Do not rent from this company. Totally incompetent. I made a reservation for San Diego airport through a third party and was booked with Fox. Fox refused my reservation because I did not have my passport with me. I did have a valid drivers reservation and

credit card and had paid for the reservation in advance. I offered to allow them to take a deposit on my credit car while I drove to my property (about 30 minutes) to get it and bring it back for them to verify but they said they could not sign me up without the passport. I checked with all the other rental car companies at the centre and all were prepared to rent to me without a passport. Due to needing to make a last minute reservation I had to pay $350 (about 30%) more than for the reservation I had booked with Fox. Fox agents and management don't appear to have any authority to use common sense and just kept telling me I should have read the "fine print" in their contract which was not provided when I booked my reservation. STAY CLEAR OF FOX - TERRIBLE SERVICE AND IN PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES POOR QUALITY CARS!!

Do not use Fox Rent A Car! We flew into Austin late on Christmas Day 2024. We were tired and ready to go to our airbnb. Turns out, Fox did not have a car for us. Yes, we had a reservation but no car. Did Fox offer any help or

comfort at all? No. It was basically, "sorry about your luck, hope you find something else." We're standing there with a cart full of luggage, carrying a sleeping 4 year old at 11:30 pm on Christmas night. We ended up getting a $50 uber to our rental and had to find another rental the next day. No customer service from Fox. This company sucks and if you rent from them, best make a backup plan or bring your walking shoes, cuz chances are you wont be driving anywhere.

It's true what they say.. you definitely get what you pay for. Though my experience wasn't completely terrible, the way they do business is. They literally will nickel and dime you for everything at the end. Also, make sure you triple check if they accept ALL major debit and credit

cards - because they don't. They also take forever to return your deposit and good luck with trying to get in touch with customer service. Won't be renting from them again.

Our flight was at 6 a.m., so we tried to drop off the car here at 3:30 a.m., but no one was there except for one security guard. I can't believe that a car rental near an international airport isn't open 24 hours. On top of that, the shuttle bus

only starts running at 5 a.m. I absolutely do not recommend this car rental.

I've rented from Fox numerous times over the last 2 1/2 years since I moved out of California and have never had anything but a good experience with this location. I've rented everything from a mid size sedan to full size SUV and every time the cars are clean and

taken care of. The shuttle drivers are always very personable, and the shuttle is never a long wait if any wait at all. Twice now I have had to extend my rental and it is always such an easy process and never an issue at return. While it not being at the airport isn't super convenient, it's worth the savings

We returned the car early in the morning at the airport, but there were no employees on-site. We followed the procedure and left the keys in the key drop box. Later, we were shocked to find a much higher bill. They charged us twice for airport fees and added a

gas charge, even though we had refueled the car before returning it. This experience felt incredibly dishonest. We won't be using this company again.

165 reviews and 160 are a 1 star....this is the worst rental company in the country. they never answer their phone not even for emergency roadside help. i have filed a complaint with "state of hawaii office of consumer protection". in speaking with them they said that this location has

numerous complaints on record. i am asking that they pull their license to do business so none of us ever have to see or hear about them again!

If I could give this place a zero, I would. From start to finish, the experience was sub-par. For starters, the rental car shuttle itself was half of the size of all other shuttles. We then proceed to pull into what appeared to be a once abandoned

warehouse that was converted into a make shift business. The employees were less than friendly, and forced us into upsell after upsell, only to get what we had originally thought we had booked. Making what was once a cost efficient option, into an expensive, if not more expensive than other reputable companies. We then got the keys to a filthy car that reeked of cigarette smoke. Nonetheless, we tried to keep a positive attitude. At the conclusion of our trip, it was time to return the rental car. We typed the address into our maps and it took us literally into the middle of a busy traffic way, no building in sight. We then redirected ourselves and tried to turn into the lot only to find it blocked off. After several u-turns and a frustrated husband, we ultimately had to enter a street labeled "no entry, service vehicles only". There was no signage, we just had to go off our gut. In the end, we finally returned the car. We re-entered the warehouse to board once again a tiny shuttle van lacking proper luggage storage. Our bags were placed on the ground, clogging up the center aisle. In the end, I would never in good conscience recommend this company to anyone. Very disappointing.

Wonderful service by manager William, he was so efficient and helpful. I needed a car on the spot and had just been let down by a neighboring rental lot who closed early and my son was in Orlando for Christmas. William had me on my way in no time at

all. Thank you for helping. Will definitely recommend fox car rental to others.
