알마 루즈 빌라누에바

알마 루즈 빌라누에바(Alma Luz Villanueva, 1944년 10월 4일 캘리포니아 롬포크 출생)는 미국의 시인, 단편소설 작가, 소설가다.

인생

그녀의 멕시코 할아버지는 멕시코 헤르모시요에서 신문을 편집했으며, 출판된 시인이었다. 소노라 출신의 외할머니인 야키 인디언 쿠란데라/힐러(어머니 그대로)는 샌프란시스코 미션 지구에서 키웠다.^[1]

그녀는 캘리포니아 대학교 산타 크루즈, 카브릴로 대학, 나로파 대학, 메사 대학, 캘리포니아 대학교 샌디에이고, 스탠포드 대학교, 태평양 대학교에서 가르쳤다. 그녀는 2012년 현재, 지난 14년간, 창조적 글쓰기 프로그램의 MFA에 있는 안티오크 대학교 로스엔젤레스에서 가르친다.^[2] 그녀는 멕시코 산 미겔 데 알렌데에 산다.^[3]
