테루오돈은 영국 남부, 모로코,[1] 프랑스의 백악기 초기에 알려진 멸종된 포유류의 한 속이다.1989년 데니스 시고뉴 러셀이 모로코 최초의 백악기 크사르 메틀릴리 층에서 나온 이빨을 따서 명명된 모식종은 테루오돈 다마니이고, 시고뉴 러셀과 폴 엔솜이 영국 룰워스 층에서 나온 이빨을 위해 명명된 테루오돈 타락트이다.두 종은 T. dahmani의 cingulum의 파손, T. taraktes의 보다 눈에 띄는 안쪽의 볏, T. taraktes의 둔탁한 스타일로콘, T. dahmani의 "c" 교두막, T. taraktes의 축소된 면 A로 구분된다.테루오돈속은 테루오돈과에 속하는 유일한 분류군으로, 아마 스팔라코테리아과와 [2]밀접한 관련이 있을 것이다.T. cf. taraktes라고 불리는 치아는 프랑스의 [1]Angeac-Charente 뼛조각에서 베리아시아인의 것으로 알려져 있다.
