The Traitors fans have revealed their biggest complaint about the castle's fake Welshwoman Charlotte, after she narrowly survived banishment in the latest episode.

Despite appearing to spark suspicion from some Faithfuls that she could be a Traitor in Thursday's show, Charlotte managed to swerve the dreaded elimination.

Charlotte has already baffled some viewers by revealing that she is pretending to be from Wales, concealing her London accent with a Valleys drawl.

During the episode, Charlotte also broke down in tears as she shared fears that other Faithfuls don't believe that she isn't a Traitor.

And some fans were quick to take to X to note that this was an unusual thing to cause Charlotte so much distress, given she is lying to all of the contestants about her own background.

Posts included: 'Charlotte crying about not being believed, when they're literally lying about being Welsh;'

Picking up on Wednesday's cliffhanger, the very first Round Table saw Nathan banished from the castle with eight votes and upon his departure he announced, 'I can confirm that I'm a Faithful.'

Wasting no time, the Traitors regrouped to decide who would be murdered and the following morning as players gathered for breakfast it was revealed that that Keith was ultimately selected.

Straight out to an explosive Mission and the players collectively added £6000 to the prize fund.

Back to the Round Table and suspicions of Elen were abound, having strongly (and correctly) stated her case that she believes the Traitors to include at least one strong woman, and indeed using her vote for Linda herself.

In an emotionally charged discussion, she ultimately found herself banished with nine votes.

Elen stood in front of the group before leaving and stated in Welsh ''Rwy'n ffyddlon'' before translating 'I am a Faithful.'

It comes after The Traitors' smashed ratings as the hit BBC series returned to screens on New Year's Day, with Claudia Winkleman back at the helm.

An impressive 5.4million viewers tuned in to watch the hotly-anticipated series, beating last year's 3.1million.

The series was even met with a technical fault as fans rushed to watch episode two on BBC iPlayer, minutes after the opening episode aired.

The show sees several Traitors be picked at the start of the series while the other contestants are Faithfuls.

Over the course of the game the Traitors have to convince the rest of the players that they are Faithful in order to try and steal the whole prize pot for themselves at the end.

Armani was branded the 'worst Traitor of all time' as viewers watched the first episode of the new series on Wednesday night.

The financial investigator, 27, was chosen by host Claudia as one of the first Traitors along with Minah and Linda.

But as the episode went on many fans were left convinced she would be found out early on as she was 'talking too much'.

Viewers said of Armani on Twitter: 'Armani has got to be the worst Traitor of all time. STOP talking! #Traitors.',

'If Armani isn't clocked in 0.05 seconds I'll be damned #traitors #TraitorsUK.',

'Armani is doing too much I fear. If you keep going group to group and throwing names out, people will get suspicious #TheTraitors.'
