Catherine Tyldesley reveals she 'lost her mind' and was left feeling 'weak and vulnerable' about her body after welcoming her second child
Catherine Tyldesley revealed she felt 'unfit, weak and vulnerable' after welcoming her second child as she opened up about her body in a new interview published on Wednesday.
The actress, 41, shares two children Alfie, 10, and Iris, two, with husband Tom Pitfield, who she tied the knot with in 2016 in a lavish Cheshire ceremony.
Catherine has now revealed that she went through a 'very difficult' time with her body as she attempted to 'spring back' after giving birth to the couple's little girl.
She admitted she 'lost her mind mental health-wise' and suffered from chronic sickness and pregnancy insomnia.
Discussing her body with Prima, Catherine said: 'My relationship with my body is probably like most women: up and down. I found it very difficult after my second child.

'I hate the words 'spring back' because you've achieved something so amazing. But I'll be honest: I didn't feel like myself. I felt unfit, I felt weak, I felt vulnerable. I had hyperemesis. I had chronic sickness and pregnancy insomnia.
'So it got to the point where the doctor was like, "We're going to have to do something because your quality of life is really bad at the moment." I was just losing my mind, mental health-wise, trying to manage on two or three hours of sleep each night.'
Elsewhere in the interview, Catherine revealed that she isn't against returning to Coronation Street if the right storyline came up.
The actress, played Eva Price in the ITV soap from 2011 to 2018 and had several dramatic storylines during her time on the ITV show.
Catherine told the publication that she has 'fond' memories of the soap and despite being asked to return by bosses several times over the years she has always been busy with other projects.
Since leaving Corrie, Catherine has gone on to star in BBC One series Scarborough and Channel 5 drama The Good Ship Murder, as well as compete on the 2019 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The star looked incredible in a gold glittering jumper while her son rocked a football shirt and her little girl donned a Frozen costume.
She penned: 'In the precious time we had together this Christmas. We Barely took any photographs. We are normally camera snappy all day!

It comes after Catherine posed with her two adorable children in front of their Christmas tree in a sweet Instagram snap
'Initially I proclaimed to Tom- “there’s hardly any photos! I’m gutted.” But then I realised it’s because we were ‘in’ EVERY single moment - Present.
'Whilst photos are indeed precious- Presence…That is worth more than a million photos. Capturing images with my heart.
'We managed a physical picture in front of the tree before the kids ran off to play with more toys (as it should be) and a handful of other bits!'
The February 2025 issue of Prima is on sale now.
