And, calling to him each one of his lord's debtors, he said to the first, 'How much do you owe my lord?'
And, moved with compassion, the lord of that servant released him, and forgave him the debt.
Simon, answering, said, "He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the more." And He said to him, "Rightly did you judge."
Owe no one anything, but to love one another; for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.
Accordingly, then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh;
but, as he had nothing to pay, his lord commanded that he be sold, and his wife, and his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
having blotted out the hand-writing in decrees against us, which was contrary to us, and He has taken it out of the midst, nailing it to the cross;
And, when he began to reckon, there was brought to him one debtor of ten thousand talents;
Let the husband render to the wife her due; and, in like manner, the wife to the husband.
And he would not; but, going away, he cast him into prison, till he should pay what was due.
Now to him that works the reward is not reckoned as of grace, but as of debt;
"There were two debtors to a certain money-lender. The one owed five hundred denaries; and the other, fifty.
But, going forth, that servant found one of his fellow-servants, who was owing him a hundred denaries; and, having laid hold of him, he was choking him, saying, 'Pay, if you are owing anything!'
I am debtor both to the Greeks and to the Barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish;
After that he said to another, 'And how much do you owe?' And he said, 'A hundred measures of wheat.' He says to him, 'Take your accounts, and write, Four score.'
And, they having nothing to pay, he forgave them both. Which of them, therefore, will love him the more?"
And, being angry, his lord delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all the debt.
But, if he wronged you in anything, or owes you anything, set down this to my account.
"Then, calling him to him, his lord says to him, 'Evil servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you besought me.
Indeed, they were well pleased, and their debtors they are; for, if the gentiles were partakers of their spiritual things, they ought also to minister to them in carnal things.
But, if by grace, it is no longer of works; otherwise the grace becomes no longer grace. [But, if of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise, the work is no longer work.]
Who was delivered up for our trespasses, and raised for our justification.
