(but, if one knows not how to preside over his own house, how will he take care of an assembly of God?);
that each one of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor;

Therefore, I say to you, be not anxious for your life, what ye may eat, or what ye may drink; nor for your body, what ye may put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?

Be not, therefore, anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink!' or 'What shall we put on?'
for bodily exercise is profitable for a little; but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life which is present and that to come.
Foods are for the stomach, and the stomach for foods; but God will bring to nought both this and these. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body;
for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as also Christ the assembly;
feed the flock of God which is among you, overseeing it, not by constraint, but willingly; nor yet for base gain, but of a ready mind;
that there might be no schism in the body, but that the members might have the same care, one for another.
And the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual.
For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office;
And, when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what ye shall speak; for it shall be given you in that hour what to speak;
And He said to His disciples, "Therefore, I say to you, be not anxious for your soul, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on;
But much more the members of the body which seem to be more feeble, are necessary;
But seek ye first His Kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.
And, if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, that to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith!
So, then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, but especially to those of the household of the faith.
If any one destroys the temple of God, him will God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye.
And whether one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or one is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
But take heed, lest this liberty of yours become a stumbling-block to the weak.
