Faceted components are rare materials used in the Invention skill. Level 55 Invention is required to discover them at an inventor's workbench and use them in a gizmo; however, this level is not required to obtain them.

Faceted components can be obtained from disassembling cut gems, such as rubies and emeralds. Players with at least level 60 Invention can use an auto disassembler invention machine to passively disassemble large quantities of cut gems for faceted components. This will also yield clear parts, delicate parts, smooth parts, precious components, and light components as byproducts.

A slow but cheap way of obtaining faceted components is killing elf warriors in Lletya for uncharged crystal teleport seeds, then charging them through Islwyn or Eluned in the Ithell district of Prifddinas or the forests of Isafdar and disassembling them. Faceted components are fairly common from fully charged teleport seeds.

A fast but expensive way to gain faceted components is to purchase crystal tool seeds from the Grand Exchange, and use them on Eluned in Prifddinas after completing Plague's End to have her create crystal chisels. These can then be disassembled with a high chance of providing faceted components.
