Hydrix dragons are enemies encountered in the Dragonkin Laboratory. Like most dragons, they are susceptible to the Dragon Slayer perk and dragonbane ammunition. A method of protection from dragonfire is highly recommended against them. Like their non-dungeon counterparts, hydrix dragons have a special attack in which they send a row of spikes towards the area that the player is currently standing on. After a short delay, there is a 3 by 3 square area where spikes appear, dealing magic damage and draining adrenaline to 0, while also applying a debuff where adrenaline gained is reduced to half for a 15 seconds. However, they will not use this special attack if the player remains within melee distance of them.

Unlike their gemstone cavern counterpart, these do not require a Slayer level to be killed.

In Story mode its health is reduced by 50% and its damage output is reduced by 90%.
