Jennifer Aniston had an unusual and chronic habit when filming Friends from 1994 until 2004.

The A-list actress would take home clothing from the wardrobe department and keep it for her own personal use, even if her character Rachel Green never wore it.

Courteney Cox made that reveal during her sit down with the Fashion Neurosis podcast in October, but found her best friend's sly move endearing.

Cox told host Bella Freud that she 'didn't love the '90s clothes' that she was wearing on the show but Aniston did.

The ex of David Arquette added that her pal took some of her character Monica Gellar's clothes too.

'She took a lot of Monica's dresses, and she'll say, "Oh yeah, I used to wear this on Friends,"' explained Courteney.

'And I mean, it looks great on her. She has a great figure and she's adorable. But I'm like, "Why would you take this floral little prairie dress from Friends?" But she holds on to everything.'

The siren also clarified that the stars were allowed to keep what clothing they wanted, so they were not breaking any rules.

Cox did not take home the togs.

'I don't want to keep the same things,' she said. 'I get bored and I don't like a lot of things. I don't have a big closet.... If I don't wear it for a while, it's gone.'

In 2021 Jennifer admitted she swiped one of Cox's costume dresses from the set of Friends.

The actress told People she took 'a dress that Monica wore,' adding, 'I went into her line of clothes and I pulled it out and I still have it and wear it to this day.'

The Morning Show star was promoting the Friends reunion special for HBO Max that also starred Courteney, Lisa Kudrow, the late Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc.

Courteney wore the dress while playing Monica during the show's eighth season on the episode The One Where Rachel Is Late.

Jennifer's character Rachel is heavily pregnant by Monica's brother Ross and is increasingly frustrated that she has not given birth despite passing her due date.

Monica wears the dress as Rachel informs her that the doctor advised her to have sex in order to speed the process up - a plan Monica supports.

Jennifer said she has not tossed out the dress.

'I still wear it and it fits,' she said, and as she described it Courteney joked: 'It's probably gone in and out of style like four times.'

'Oh, and it will always be in style!' Jennifer insisted, getting a laugh out of Courteney who said that she did not steal anything.

Meanwhile Lisa kept the rings that her character Phoebe wore, and she also said that she was gifted Monica's cookie jar by Matthew.

While Lisa was apparently under the impression that Matthew 'asked permission' to take the jar, which had a clock pattern on the lid, he told another story.

'I stole the cookie jar that had the clock on it,' admitted Matthew, who played Monica's eventual husband Chandler, 'and I gave it to Lisa Kudrow 'cause she at one point looked at it and thought it was a real clock and I gave it to her.'

Lisa, who described herself as a 'hoarder,' kept her, Courteney and Jennifer's security badges that they used to get onto the set.

After a video of the People interviews dropped several fans were concerned by how downcast Matthew was looking.

Matthew has been open about his past addictions and once told the BBC he cannot 'remember three years of' shooting Friends, but has since gotten sober.

Perry was found unresponsive in the hot tub of his Los Angeles home.

He died on October 28, 2023, after playing pickleball and then going to his hot tub at home.
