I was intrigued by the possibility of two romantic interests - maybe where she didn't have to choose? I have honestly never read any Elle Kennedy books, and being in some kind of reading stalemate, I checked it out on a whim. And I read it one day! It was an enjoyable book, even though it was only one POV. With two men in the picture, I would have loved to have their thoughts. But I enjoyed Abbey and her desire to get out from under her father's shadow and protection. And I really, really enjoyed the side story of her trying to figure out the mystery of a painting. Of course, it kind of mirrored what she herself was going through, but it was a fun mystery to follow along with. Glad this book came across the desk!
Dylan is caller number ten! She has won a free trip around the world. The catch is that she has to travel with a random contact on her phone. Jack is Dylan is caller number ten! She has won a free trip around the world. The catch is that she has to travel with a random contact on her phone. Jack is that lucky contact. Dylan struggles to remember Jack or why he is in her phone. Then she remembers that they met one night in a club and ended up making out that night. It could be worse that someone she barely knows and is incredibly attracted to. Love blooms the further they travel together.
I will basically read any romantic comedy about travel. I love to travel and I love a good rom-com. The banter between Dylan and Jack is a lot of fun. Some of the topics dealt with in the book are deep, yet important. I felt while listening that this was your average British romance, so I was pleasantly surprised that the spice was not behind closed doors. Fun for what it was, but not phenominal.

How is this possible? What will Katy learn about herself and her mother during her stay? You will want to read to find out!
I have really taken to Rebecca Serle's books and loved listening to this one. It is narrated by the great Lauren Graham who does a wonderful job with the audiobook. Searle does such a good job of examining relationships while also weaving in some aspect of sci-fi, which draws me in more. If you haven't read any of her books you are missing out.

If you are the same, or just interested in history, this book is for you! Take a round-the-world journey and read about different cemeteries, why they are notable, and appreciate their unique characteristics. The layout of this book is great as it provides pictures with accompanying text about each of the 199 cemeteries included in this book. My only qualm was that half of the book was dedicated to American only cemeteries. I would have liked to read more about the international ones, as that is what I am most interested in. The information is fascinating and definitely worth the read (or visit).

This book is a wonderful multigenerational tale about an Indian-American family reconnecting with their family in India and making time for connecting. The story is simple yet sweet and the illustrations are vibrant. I loved reading this book to my kids as it gave them a glimpse into another culture and their traditions. Definitely recommend!

All the food looks and sounds delicious! Good thing I live close to two of the cities highlighted here in the Midwest; Minneapolis and Madison. Not only does this book give you an inside look and background on various food trucks, but it also provides recipes for some of the best dishes those trucks serve. Looking to travel? This book may give you some ideas of where to dine. If you love a great street taco you will love this cookbook and appreciate its maps on where to find them. Personally, I have my eyes on a Chicken Cheddar Bacon Pasty in Madison sometime soon!

That is just what the Wheelan family does, as is chronicled in this book. They visit six continents with their three teenagers, while homeschooling two of them. This is a pretty accurate picture of what this book is all about...and I loved it! I admit to being the prime audience for this book. I have a family, I love to travel, and this is something I would love to do with my own family (even before reading this book). The author, Charles Wheelan, is the dad from this adventure who writes with wit and reflection. I thought it was lighthearted and fun while also taking into consideration the gravity of world history. If you love to travel, this book will satisfy some of that wanderlust!

Some drink it hot, some pour it up high, and others add lots of spices. This book is a great illustration of how people around the world live, while also demonstrating how many of us are not as different as we think. The main story line of the book is told simply and in a rhythmic, rhyming tale. On every page there is also a description of the variety of tea and why it is made that way. I loved sharing this book with my kids, and wish there were more books like this out there. It is so important to think of ourselves as a global citizen, and this book helps break down cultural barriers through a simple drink.

What about historic buildings in one of the most famous world cities? This book is a gem with really wonderful pictures of some very iconic and historic buildings of London. It is very interesting to see the different styles and architecture that lay behind closed doors. We visit 50 different locations from around London and are sometimes transported through time with what you see. The author does a wonderful job of explaining how these buildings worked through the years and highlights of these places throughout history. I haven't made my way to London just yet, but this book does a great job of transporting me to these different landmarks. I definitely recommend this book!

Graeme Crawford-Collins is a remote working social media manager for the same cruise line who can seem to make Henley furious is just a single email.
When both Graeme and Henley are shortlisted for the same promotion they are asked to enjoy one of the company's cruises to come up with a proposal. The best proposal will be awarded the promotion! Henley is not going to let all of her hard work go to waste and is determined to beat Graeme at any cost. When Henley meets Graeme in real life for the first time she realizes that she will need more willpower than she anticipated in order to stay focused.
This was such a fun, easy, beachy and summery read! I enjoyed both of the main characters and really liked how the author incorporated the topic of sexism and strong female leads. The slow burn between Henley and Graeme was good, but I thought the romance bit was a little lacking for my taste. I also loved that there was an aspect of travel mixed in, as it is an interest of mine. Love, travel, and ambition...this book has it all.

Lunch In Paris is a memoir telling the story of how the author, Elizabeth, met her Parisian husband and ended up living in Paris. Not only does Elizabeth give up a life in the United States for love but she needs to learn a new way of life while discovering a new direction for her life. As she grows, she learns about food in a whole new way and becomes something of a foodie. This book of self-discovery opens us up to a whole new side of Paris and living as a French citizen that I haven't read before. Elizabeth includes some wonderful recipes to accompany her understanding of food and mastering the Parisian outdoor markets. This book is a wonderful story that incorporates a love for food, but isn't only about food. I took a vacation to Paris (and grew hungry) every time I sat down to read this fascinating book.
Poppy and Alex have been best friends for over 10 years and have a summer ritual of taking a trip somewhere new with one another. That is until about Poppy and Alex have been best friends for over 10 years and have a summer ritual of taking a trip somewhere new with one another. That is until about 2 years ago when they took their relationship to the next level. After, that their relationship has been non-existent. Poppy is stuck at work and tries to remember when she has truly been happy, and she can only think of Alex. She arranges a trip for the up coming summer and texts Alex to come along. He says yes, and this is that story.
I really loved this book. I love travel and enjoyed how the book bounced around and told the story of Poppy and Alex's past trips with one another. Telling the story this way really gave the reader a clear picture of the friend's history and feelings. You will be hooked and find yourself rooting for these two to reconcile and follow their true feelings. Personally, I love some steamy bits and this one had what I was hoping for! If you are looking for an entertaining summer read, you will not be disappointed.
