Their friends have been taken by a horrible beast that plans to cook them all up into a stew. Not if clever Billy has a say in it! She effectively saves everyone with her wit and uncanny ability to have what she needs at the right time, thanks to her super hair! This book is a lot of fun, celebrates diversity, and brings kids (and adults, let's be honest) back to the joy and wonder of reading a captivating story. Highly recommend!

They must learn to use magic to help save the world from the dark Shadow Magic. I picked this book up to read with my 7-year-old as we needed a new series to read at bedtime. These looked so cute, with the magical forest animals and all! It is super cute, but the storyline itself is just ok. As a parent who is reading aloud, I could do with a more relatable storyline for a younger audience. She loves it, but honestly, I was hoping for a bit more.
